Stay away from these people. The unethical behavior when it comes to prices is pathetic. They’ll run your bill high as they can always get a second opinion. In fact, find a vet that has some morals and is not trying to rip you off knowingly.

Stay away from these thieves. They will auto renew your membership even after you cancel it charging you $70 a month without you even knowing and then send you to collections for Services. You never wanted or used.

I called the office three different times to let them know what I wanted to have done with my dog. I had my son bring her in. When he left. The bill was $800 for a check up. The vet kept adding. more and more to the bill. I believe he took advantage of my son. I have never heard of a check up costing $800.I understand I bought flea medication but I could’ve got her spayed for that amount. Afterwards, I called the office and I believe the girls name was Amanda. She told me that the vet would call me or the office manager would call me the next day. Nobody has called to explain this to me it has been over a week. I will never use this vet again. This is ridiculous and highly unprofessional.

Hands down the best vet I’ve ever been to. Other clinics had my pup being neglected, having scheduling problems and having surgery pushed back for her tooth infection. Forced us to find a place for emergency in wait for surgery but luckily we found this place who took her within a couple hours. They are the only clinic to take her situation seriously and got her booked for surgery the next day. They were very clear about prices before performing anything and took the time to explain problems, procedures and pricing without having to ask. They are affordable and work with the client and clearly genuinely care about their clients. Definitely coming back for anything my dogs need in the future.

STAY AWAY IF YOU ARE BLACK - RACIALLY DISCRIMINATORY After nearly five years as a loyal client, I permanently transferred my dog’s care because I experienced what I believe was racially biased treatment. The issue was never the heartworm test. The issue was how I was treated. The technician told me that, because my dog has been continuously protected with Simparica Trio since puppyhood, a heartworm-test waiver was available. I relied on that information. When I later requested his prescription, the receptionist told me it could not be filled because I had declined the test. I calmly explained that I had followed the technician’s instructions. While I stood in the lobby, I overheard the receptionist tell the veterinarian and technician that I was “angry.” That was completely false. I never raised my voice. I never argued. I never became confrontational. I simply asked about conflicting information provided by the hospital’s own staff. As a Black woman, being falsely labeled “angry” carries a meaning that cannot be ignored. It reflects one of the most persistent racial stereotypes directed at Black women and was deeply humiliating to hear applied to me when I had remained calm throughout the encounter. Once I was told the heartworm test was actually required, I immediately authorized it. There was no argument. There was no refusal. There was no hostility. The receptionist later apologized after I confronted her about falsely characterizing me. By then, the damage had already been done. After nearly five years with this practice, I requested my dog’s records that same day and transferred his care elsewhere. I expect honesty from veterinary professionals. I expect respectful treatment. And I expect not to be stereotyped because of my race when I ask a reasonable question. Douglasville Veterinary Hospital failed on all three.
