  I visited Petco to make a purchase because I was given a 20% off coupon when I adopted a kitten on July 22, 2026 at a different Petco location. I attempted to use the coupon at the Decatur store, but was told the coupon had expired in January 2026. How could that be if I was just given the coupon on July 22? I asked if there was anything that could be done by a store manager. They said no, that I would have to visit the store where the adoption took place, which is 24 miles from my home and at least 36 minutes away - often more like 45 minutes with traffic. It would be a major inconvenience for me. Regardless, they would not honor the coupon or do anything for me. I put back my $60 purchase and left the store only purchasing 1 item for $14 which I will likely also return. I am very disappointed in this location, and the manager didn't even come out to speak to me. I will not be returning to Petco for any reason, and instead will take my business to Petsmart where I have had much better experiences. I even reached out to the adoption agency who provided me the coupon and who partners with Petco at several locations, and they told me that they could not do anything for me either since the coupon was sent to them directly from Petco. They said "Petco often gives them out in the store" meaning I should try asking the store for one, which obviously I tried to do and did not work. I paid good money to Petco for the lovely kitten I adopted, and I was looking forward to using this coupon to save a little bit of money on his food. Sadly, I was rejected and will not be returning to Petco for any of my kitten's future needs.

  This store has a friendly, helpful staff who greet customers with a smile. The store has a good selection of cat food and other products.

  Pretty nice store. Great employees as of date. Store itself needs to change the way things are laid out. They have one area with only large cans and small cans separate. Which the brands sizes were all together.

  Went in for two cats' shots and had to purchase a cardboard carrier because we had both of them in one. We didn't get notification this would be an issue until we were already on the way there.
