  I love to be able to write positive things about Black women doing amazing things whenever I can, but this won’t be that post. I want to talk to you about the fact that Dr. McCracken and Jada saved my poor cats life! Without boring you, my cat, Kreole had to get neutered. Unfortunately, they have to stay sequestered for 10 days while they are healing, as I have another cat. I suppose he couldn’t take it anymore and decided to break out of my second floor bedroom window I left open for him to be able to get some air through. He came back the next morning limping and he just seemed different . Sleeping a lot, not eating, etc. I took him to another well known vet here in Atlanta. They had me wait for an hour with him and told me they’d call me when it was time to pick him up. Four hours later they called and as I was picking him up, they told me absolutely nothing was wrong with him. Said he wasn’t limping and he was probably just in shock. As soon as I got him home and took him out the carrier he limped over to the couch and went to sleep. This didn’t sit right with me so I contacted them again and they told me I could come in in a few days but it would be another fee. They also gave him some type of antibiotic that I paid for to prevent infections. Two days later, one side of his face swelled up to the size of a golf ball and had something oozing out of it and I could tell it hurt him to walk. I imma took him the next morning to Vetco and I’m SO happy I did. The receptionist was lovely, actually the three times I’ve been there the two women have been wonderful (one has blonde hair and the other has beautiful locs). I’m freaking out a bit because I just want him to be okay, and he’s not okay. They immediately get me back to a waiting room and the delightful Jada gets a run down of everything that’s going on with him. She takes him away for a few and the awesome Dr. McCracken enters to let me know Kreole has a blood infection as well as the fact that the pads on his paws are coming off (not good). They prescribe him some antibiotic and another medication for his pain and instructed me on what to do with the medication for his paws. They were so kind and gracious. I want to say the other lovely woman in there was Ms. Ann (ugh, I don’t think that’s right) she allowed me to take videos and walk me through how I needed to take care of him at home. They also shaved of some of the hair on his face because he rubbed off a lot of it due to the puncture wounds that was causing discharge from his face. We set up a time for me to come back the following week so they could see his progress. I made sure I stuck by everything as best I could so he could feel better. I saw a change in him almost immediately! When I brought him back in yesterday, they couldn’t believe how he turned around because they thought it was going to be a long road and he’s back to being his cute, fun, (loud) self. These women literally brought my cat back to life in front of my eyes and I couldn’t thank them enough. They are so amazing Dr. McCracken saw how much he progressed and refunded me for the second batch of medication he didn’t have to take because he recovered so quick. I cried and I cried. PLEASE go see these women if your fur baby means anything to you. You will not regret it. They saved my little one’s life and I don’t take that lightly. Thank you, ladies! Oh, and Happy Anniversary, Dr. McCracken!!!!!

  I came to my vet appointment that I booked for 10:15 AM and arrived at 10:14 AM and they said they’d have to reschedule me because I didn’t confirm.. what type of sense does that make? If I set the appointment and you sent me a reminder for the appointment and I showed up on time for the appointment, why are we creating an issue because I didn’t technically “confirm” it? The confirmation is me initially setting the appointment and not canceling. I could have seen if I was late, but that wasn’t the case. And then they said they could see me, but it would be at a later time. They always overbook anyway and have to end up seeing me later whether I confirmed or not. This place just does not respect people‘s time and busy schedule after I’ve been a repeat client with them. Just a waste of energy, time and gas. I resorted to rebooking for next week, but after this appointment, I will be taking my business elsewhere.

  I wish I could give more than five stars because the staff was amazing from start to finish! My older dog was sick, and the entire team; especially Tara and Dr. McCracken was incredibly kind, responsive, and compassionate throughout the process. They took the time to provide education about my dog’s health and treatment plan, which made me feel informed and supported during a stressful time. I highly recommend visiting them if you have any concerns about your pet’s health! :)

  Friendly staff and so so knowledgeable doctors, aside from that everything is subpar. Terrible wait times (waited 35 minutes in the room without any apology for the wait), nobody seemed it was important to tell me how to store poop sample after collection, wasting 45 minutes of my time, round trip, driving up there to be told that it could not be used since it had not been refrigerated. Decided to use Vetco for the free first exam since I was bringing in a stray/feral cat but wouldn’t dare bring my loved pets here.

  We have had 2 great experiences going to vetco, this is all because of TARA. she goes above and beyond to give us the best experience and actually cares about the animals. She is the reason why we will keep on coming back. - Chloe, Max, Finn🥰
