  The groomer was very rude. Shaved my 8 month old golden doodle when I asked her the cut as less as possible. I was told his ears were matted prior to leaving the store and his was a little matted on his paws. At no point I was told he was matted anywhere else. Not to mentioned he was there three weeks prior to this visit. Two hours after leaving the store she called and said she had to give him a full cut due to his paws being matted. I said I didn’t want him cut. At that time she said WE DON’T bath matted dogs. At the tie I was rushing off the phone to do a presentation with my client. I felt like at this point I was pushed in a corner. I said okay to her, but please do not cut him too short. When I picked up my puppy he was shaved to the skin. I was so hurt and upset when I saw my fur baby.

  Customer service was amazing and the grooming was great as well. I was nervous as this was my puppies first time and they made me feel at ease.

  Unfortunately, we have now had two negative experiences with Vetco, and I would not recommend them based on the service we received. Our first experience was extremely unprofessional. Our pup was escorted to the back for testing and to receive a few shots. While he was back there, employees repeatedly came running out of the back room, laughing and joking with one another. After some time, I started to become concerned because our dog had been back there for quite a while, and the amount of horseplay happening among the employees made me uncomfortable. When they finally brought him back to us, they told us that he had been “bad” and had “put up a good fight” in the back. This was shocking to us because we have never had issues with him behaving aggressively during appointments. Given what we had just witnessed from the staff, I was immediately concerned about what may have happened while he was out of our sight. They then added that he was a “biter” to his file, even though, to our knowledge, he had not shown aggression toward them. The entire experience left a very bad impression. Fast forward a few months, and we returned to the Vetco clinic and paid for his shots and testing. I was told that one remaining test could be completed later and that this was noted in his file. I scheduled an appointment expecting to return to the clinic for that test. When I arrived for the scheduled appointment, I found out that the clinic was not actually there that day and that I would have to pay out of pocket to have the service completed. I was confused as to why I was allowed to schedule what I believed was a clinic appointment without being informed that the clinic would not be there. When I expressed my frustration and confusion, the employee literally laughed in my face. I ultimately paid the additional fee, but the interaction was incredibly unprofessional. I understand that mistakes and miscommunication happen, but this is now the second experience we have had with Vetco where the professionalism and customer service were unacceptable. The actual clinic experience has been fine, but our experiences with Vetco have been horrible. Based on what we experienced, I would not recommend bringing your pup here if you are looking for professional and dependable service.

  I've taken my dog to various Petco locations for years, but I didn't have a good experience at this one. I have a golden doodle, so matting is always a problem, and I know going in they'll probably have to shave him down a good bit. I'm totally understanding of this and communicate it to the front desk upon arrival, just asking to maintain length wherever she can but I understand. The grooming took 5 hours, and when they called me to let me know he was finished, the woman told me she "had a bone to pick with me" about my dog being matted (which I had already acknowledged) and said she took it upon herself to book him another appointment a month out to get him "straightened out," and told me I need to be brushing him (duh). I really didn't appreciate the shaming tone, and I do brush him, obviously. When I arrived, I was asked to pay for my service before I had even seen my dog (hence why I didn’t get a refund/get to speak to anyone). When I finally did see him, he was clearly distressed, had nicks in his skin in places, and his nails were uneven with sharp shards sticking out though I paid extra (on her recommendation) for grinding down his nails instead of a regular trim. I'm extremely disappointed I paid $150 (!!) for a service where it does not seem they treated my dog well, I was shamed as a dog owner for not preventing matting well enough, and the grooming itself was not satisfactory. I won’t be back.

  Adrienna is amazing! She is treats Rigby with kindness and provides updates. I highly recommend bringing your dog to her for their grooming needs! :)
