  I’m giving this store three stars because there was no one available to assist me when I needed help reaching an item after recent surgery. While the staff I did interact with were very kind—the cashier was nice, the employees in the vet area were helpful, and a young man from the fishing department eventually went out of his way to assist me—it was still very difficult to find help throughout the store.

  I work with animals and am highly involved and making sure their health and well-being is protected and valued. I came to this Petco on a Sunday evening and found so many issues with their pet care that, if I was a manager at this location, would leave me scared for my job. The birds did not have appropriate access to cuttle bones and so therefore their breaks were growing and on the way to piercing their bottom beak. The gerbils had hides smaller than my fist forcing them to stand against each other inside to sleep. The guinea pig habitats were too small for fully grown pigs and the main enclosure was OPEN. MOLD was growing inside the “desktop” pac-man from containers and at least two jumping spiders were completely dead. I had to rifle through their entire stock of mealworms just to find one container that had at least ten alive. I reached out to the appropriate persons and no one thought it necessary to try to contact me to fix these issues. I will link photos below.

  Brought my pup to get groomed with the summer package, they did a great job! Picked him up smelling great, his nails are trimmed and buffed and in a cute summer bandana!
