They took care of my dog at the vet and they have "some" nice staff. Unfortunately they never seem to have the fish i want but they have everything else.

Dropped off my pup Milo for his dental cleaning and spent a good 5 min chatting about Taylor Swift with Kristy. When I came back to pick him up, his med bag was decorated in lyrics and it put the biggest smile on my face. Helped me feel more connected & comfortable enough to leave my baby there. It's the little things. 🐶🤍

The staff at Banfield Pet Hospital in New Port Richey FL are wonderful. They helped me and my boy Dukee so that he could have his oral surgery. This staff was full of knowledge and care which is why I will be a returning client. Thank you Dr. Holmes and staff.

Back in December, we took our dog Ruby in for a routine teeth cleaning, as well as to remove a suspicious lump in her shoulder. This procedure was completed by Dr. Marsh. Ruby had been put under before for teeth cleanings and always responded well and normally afterwards. However, this time around, she did not respond well at all. She came home after picking her up from this location and her responsiveness steadily declined over the next 24 hours. She had trouble walking and seemed to be struggling to breath. We contacted Banfield 3 times to report our concerns, and were told to just "keep monitoring and give it a little more time before bringing her back". Needless to say, Ruby ended up passing away within 36 hours after this procedure. All symptoms pointing to anathesia toxicity. Records confirmed shes was given twice the amount of anathesia she had typically received in the past. We immediately stopped payment on her preventative care plan as I never want to give this corporate scam another dime. 6 months later, we get notice that they forwarded the unpaid balance of the plan to collections. Despite showing records that Ruby passed away, and these charges are egregious given the circumstances, the best they could do was offer a 50$ discount on the settlement. Do not trust your let with this corporate trash. The vets are over worked and couldn't care less about your pet or your concerns. They just care about money.

DO NOT BRING YOUR PET HERE. Took my both dogs in for routine dental cleanings on a Tuesday. One had a small non cancerous lump removed while she was already under. She was not recovering well and I called they said anesthesia stays in their system for 72 hours she’ll be okay call us back tomorrow. Called back the next day (Wednesday) multiple times as she was getting worse.. they said again if she’s not getting better call us back tomorrow. I didn’t get a tomorrow. She died in my car on the way to an emergency vet. I had another doctor working for Banfield at another location look into her file. They over medicated her. I’m still being charged for the pet plan after they killed my dog. And still owe for my other dog who is still alive even though I would never take her there again. It’s a heartless practice to still charge someone after they were negligent over and over again. Please be careful of trusting these people with your animals.
