I’m sharing this review as a warning to other pet owners, particularly anyone whose pet is seriously ill. My dog became critically ill, and unfortunately, my experience at this Banfield location was extremely difficult. What should have been a time when I could rely on my veterinary team for guidance instead left me feeling confused, overwhelmed, and, at times, like I was more of a burden than a pet owner trying desperately to get help for my sick dog. Communication was one of my biggest concerns. There were times when information regarding my dog's condition, treatment, costs, and next steps did not feel clear or consistent. I often left feeling uncertain about what was happening or what I should expect next. When you are dealing with a seriously ill pet, that lack of communication can be incredibly frightening. There were also interactions where discussions about costs and services left me feeling uncomfortable, rather than supported. I completely understand that veterinary care costs money and that there are policies and limitations. However, there is a significant difference between explaining costs and making someone who is already overwhelmed feel like their situation is an inconvenience. Eventually, I sought care at another veterinary hospital, where further diagnostic testing revealed serious underlying problems. By that point, my dog's condition had become devastatingly serious. I want to acknowledge that there were compassionate staff members who genuinely tried to help, and I am grateful for those individuals. Unfortunately, those positive experiences were overshadowed by the communication issues and the way I felt I was treated during such a vulnerable time. When my dog reached the final stage of his illness, I contacted Banfield for information about end-of-life services. I was already emotionally exhausted and specifically requested that the information be sent to me because I was struggling to manage everything. I never received the follow-up I requested. After everything that happened, I also emailed Banfield Cares (banfieldcares@banfield.com) with a much more detailed account of my experience. I wanted to give the company an opportunity to hear what happened directly before sharing my experience publicly. I understand that veterinary medicine is expensive. I understand that staff are busy and that caring for sick animals is emotionally demanding. I also understand that not every outcome can be controlled. But compassion, communication, and treating people with dignity should never be compromised. If your pet is seriously ill, please ask questions, make sure you understand the costs and diagnostic timelines, and don't hesitate to seek a second opinion. If you feel your concerns aren't being adequately addressed, consider another Banfield location or a different veterinary hospital altogether. When our pets are sick, we are trusting someone else with a member of our family. We shouldn't have to wonder whether we're being heard, whether we're a burden, or whether we're asking for too much simply because we're trying to help our pet. I sincerely hope Banfield takes this feedback seriously and uses it as an opportunity to improve communication, compassion, and the experience for families going through some of the most difficult moments of their lives.

The vets seem overwhelmed at this clinic. They are kind and caring but the place is always booked full. Also the front staff keeps trying to charge me two times for the same visit. This is the second time this year I have had the billing issue and the first bill was over $1000

We truly can’t thank the entire team at Banfield enough for the kindness and compassion they showed our family during one of the hardest moments we’ve had to go through. Losing Tank after so many years with him has been incredibly difficult, but everyone there was so caring, patient, and accommodating through the entire process. Yesterday, we received a beautiful card signed with personal messages from the staff, along with Tank’s paw print and nose print. It honestly meant more to us than they probably realize and is something our family will keep forever. Thank you for taking such good care of Tank and for showing our family so much compassion during such a difficult time. We truly appreciate every one of you. ❤️🐾

Dr. Nagabandi Was wonderful with Ace. She listens, addresses concerns and was very helpful with my elderly dog. She was professional and personable. The staff there is always wonderful. I also want to say how much I appreciate them having weekend Appt times open even on Sunday.
