- SBSuzie Baumann3 days ago5.0I have several rescue dogs and used Banfield for the first time when my primary vet was closed. I am so grateful for this place. They have appointments on Sunday and it’s much less expensive than my normal vet. Olivia is super friendly and explained the insurance so clearly. If you are doing a dental cleaning the insurance pays for itself. Highly recommend!!

They ensured me they had multiple groomers and wouldn’t be an issue. Don’t go here for grooming, they are not experienced with German Shepards.
- JDJenny DettyMay 3, 20265.0I just have to say how happy I am with Banfield Tyrone. We had a plan previously at different Banfield location and had a horrible experience, so didn’t renew when the plan was up. We got a 4 month old Pomchi puppy few days ago and wanted to get our puppy checked to make sure she was healthy. I was having trouble getting her in to any local vets less than a week out. I went on Banfield app and scheduled an appt for next day for in room visit. They also had drop off for earlier appts that day, but we wanted to be with her. Because of the reviews I booked it with Dr. Guzzi. Which it let us pick the doctor we wanted through the app. The vet tech who helped us first was outstanding. He was so kind and really took time with us. I told him all our concerns which he relayed to the doctor. He didn’t ask, but I let him know we weren’t sure about doing a plan, but would pay to be seen. He never once pressured us and said let’s take a look at pricing with and without the plan and you pick what is best for you and what treatments you would like to do. He said if we changed our mind later we can always add a plan on later. The pricing is cheaper than our regular vet even without the plan. Because we liked them so much we eventually went with puppy wellness plan because the pricing seems so good and our puppy will be covered for so much. She only has one set of shots so far so when we saw Dr Guzzi he set up a plan on getting her caught up and making sure she stays healthy. He is so kind and really loves what he does. So far my experience has been amazing and made me happy we went there. We go back in 3 weeks for more shots for her. Both the Dr and tech answered all our questions and really took time with us. We have a 13 year old chihuahua so having a puppy feels so new and we forgot so much, but the Banfield team was there to help. If anything changes I’ll edit my review, but so far we are super happy.

What is an Optimum Wellness Plan?
Optimum Wellness Plans are designed to provide annual preventive care. They include head-to-tail exams, vaccines, early screening diagnostics, consultations for proper nutrition, dental care and more! Since wellness plans are not insurance, they do not include treatment for unpredictable or abnormal conditions, however discounts would apply. Because pets need ongoing preventive care, wellness plans automatically renew at the end of each twelve month period (unless paid in full at enrollment).
How do I pay for an Optimum Wellness Plan?
You can spread the cost of your wellness plan across the 12 months of your annual agreement to make it easier to budget for the essential health care your pet needs. Your monthly payments can be automatically withdrawn from a checking or savings account or charged to a credit card so that you don’t have to worry about them once you enroll. We also offer the option of paying in full if you prefer.
