  Absolutely horrible experience — DO NOT RECOMMEND I have been a Banfield customer before and used to take my pets to the Pembroke Pines location, which was honestly amazing. Unfortunately, I moved and had to switch locations. Today was my first experience at this Banfield, and it was absolutely terrible from the moment I walked in. First, the facility had a very unpleasant smell, beyond what I would consider normal for a veterinary clinic. It was also uncomfortably hot inside. At 7:30 AM, there was only one person working at the front desk, Sebastian, and unfortunately, he was extremely rude, unfriendly, and unhelpful. I was there to drop off my cat for his appointment. I was specifically told this was a drop-off, so I expected exactly that: to check him in and leave. Instead, Sebastian told me that I would have to wait 20–30 minutes because they were already “behind” at 7:30 in the morning. I genuinely do not understand how a drop-off appointment can require a 20–30 minute wait. That is the amount of time I would expect for an actual veterinary consultation, not for someone to simply take my cat from me and bring him to the back. He wanted me to sit in a hot room with my cat for 20–30 minutes, simply waiting for a nurse to come get him so I could leave. If that is how this location defines a “drop-off,” then the entire process is completely disorganized and defeats the purpose of having a drop-off appointment in the first place. I asked to speak with the manager, Joanna, and was told she was not there. There was also no doctor in charge and apparently no one available who could actually address the situation. For a veterinary facility, this level of organization and customer service was extremely disappointing. I have never experienced such poor organization at a Banfield location. The contrast with the Pembroke Pines location, where I previously had excellent experiences, is honestly shocking. This was my first visit and, unfortunately, my last. I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere if you are expecting professional, organized, and respectful service. Based on my experience today, I would not recommend this location to anyone.

  I’ve had my cat Chi-Chi for the last 2 1/2 years. I got her from a farm after she was found in a parking lot in Davie at one week old. She’s always been a little nervous and skittish when it comes to new things. At first, when I came to this office, I used to come with her to every appointment. After a couple appointments, I started to leave her with the staff. I could notice her being less and less nervous as we continued to go. In the past, she used to cower and hide for hours after a visit and after this one she hid for about 20 minutes and then was back to normal. I just wanted to say thank you to the staff. Both of the front desk girls were super nice when I dropped off and picked up. The doctors are super caring and very detailed. As well as the nurse who personally called me was super sweet and detailed how the visit went. How she described Chi-Chi and their interaction I could tell that they made a true connection and she was really cared for. I wanted to thank the doctors and staff at Sawgrass Banfield again and let them know that you guys are truly making a difference and it’s much appreciated 😻❤️

  Terrible experience!!! My dog was injured and nobody told me anything. I took him for vaccines and he came with a cone on his neck. He was injured inside the cage. How long was my dog there without supervision to get hurt? What quality of cage do they have??? Terrible first experience in this place!!!!!
