Today we lost our family's love of just about 13 years, our sweet Emmie. When I called this morning to share our decision to let her go, I was immediately taken care of with the sincerest compassion and urgency. On a busy, booked Saturday they got us in. Dr. Sarah has taken care of our girl for years and with her & Jessie by our side, we felt secure in our decision and supported the whole way through. Dawn was absolutely heart-warming as she settled us in. Thank you so much to all of the Ellenton team for treating us & most importantly our precious Emmie with absolute dignity & love. We know she loved her "kisses"! We are so very sad today but grateful we were there with all of you.

We took our dog Hunter here for 3 years while we lived in FL. They were always so friendly and felt that Hunter was in good hands. He loves all the ladies there :). Always flexible with making appointments and attentive to Hunter’s needs. He was a regular it seemed from his shenanigans— either hurting is paw, eating things he shouldn’t have or just a his yearly check ups. Thank you everyone at Ellenton animal hospital who cared for my Mr.boy over the years we will miss you <3

I’ll never recover from this nightmare. I took my kitty boy here at the beginning of the year. They misdiagnosed him, gave him pain meds for lower back pain. They also tried to get me to give him flea medication when I told them I had given him some the day before, and I know that you can’t double up on a dose. The vet didn’t know how the medication would interact, even after I explained it to her she said, “oh I didn’t know that” (this is a VET, by the way) I had to google it for her, after they kept pushing me to pay for it. Long story short, my kitty died from heart failure. I asked for help, and was given none. They even mentioned at the appointment that his heart beat didn’t seem right but flew right over that and immediately printed me a bill. They put a bandaid on instead of fixing the root of the problem and it caused his death. Don’t take your animals here if you actually care about them. This is an OUTDATED FACILITY WITH OUTDATED PRACTICES!!! RIP Buddy ❤️ justice will be served

this was the best vet experience i’ve ever had! every single person we interacted with was thoughtful and attentive. doctor barry and staff were so helpful! coming in as a mom with 2 under 2 and a cat felt sooo overwhelming but everyone was considerate and made sure we were comfortable. the visit felt genuine, informative, thorough, fair! prices are reasonable and i didn’t feel any pressure around decision making. they understood needing to be cost smart with caring for an outdoor cat. i’m so greatful i found them, they are quality care.
