on 4/21 we took our 9 month ragdoll, Kuromi, to get neutered. a standard procedure i’ve taken many pets to get done. about 3 hours after he was dropped off, the vet called us and said Kuromi started to bleed out of his nose and mouth after waking up from surgery, went into cardiac arrest, and died. we’re heart broken that our kitten passed at such an early age and so sudden too. we had a different vet look at his medical records and she told us that he might’ve had a heart condition which are extremely common in ragdolls. either that or his breathing tube was misplaced. with that being said, I wish the vet was more knowledgeable about this breed and let us know beforehand what he was at risk for. if we had known, we could’ve gotten genetic testing or even an echocardiogram to make sure his heart could handle surgery. I would also like to add that the vet had told us in the past that wet food is unnecessary and kibble is suffice, which is extremely odd since male cats are prone to UTI’s and kidney stones. in the end, we were told that we can get a necropsy (an animal autopsy) as well as his ashes but after leaving they called us to say we could only do one or the other. ultimately we kept his remains and a necropsy was never performed so we’ll never know what really went wrong. if you are thinking about bringing your cat here, especially a specialty breed, I urge you to find a different vet. this vet seems to have little knowledge about cats and my kitten paid the price.

The customer service was quite rude from the start even holding by phone for 20 mins for a question about pricing (they generally don't answer the phone in front of their face), but Kayla was the by far the most polite. I was courteous to everyone, but she really took her time with my dog and I up front-- No one else cared, they just gave me dirty looks and I was sent off like I was expected to know if I was finished. Then it was clearly audible the vet tech was relaying information I never even uttered to the vet (yes, in earshot, then there were her snarky comments about my dog's appearance).
While Dr. Leisley was patient, I don't think shoving a loose tooth in my face and walking away was professional. Explain more and geez I was rushed by these two.
While I understand everyone works dilegently, it's not an excuse to pick and choose who you treat like trash, especially a dog.
First and last visit. Thankfully the price went down too for such a poor experience.
I've already found my place and it's not here nor should it be for anyone. I advise elsewhere.

Just adopted my first cat and took him here for his wellness exam. The staff was great with him! They were very transparent about the fees they charge for appointments, they even told me how much it would be to cut his nails for me when I asked to make sure I was okay adding it to my bill. They are very professional, knowledgeable and kind, very focused on your pet/ you and making sure they cover any questions you have. I highly recommend!

Kimmy the technician was EXTREMELY kind hearted, understanding and empathetic as I have a cat that’s over 20 years old and her leg is swollen so I’m in a very sensitive state because I just want her to be comfortable but Dr higashimura very short and fast and didn’t even look at my cats just leg just checked her heart and said that she needs blood work. Which is like $600 and left. I understand needing blood work before a diagnosis, but she was literally in there for less than one minute and was kind of getting short with me if I asked questions The exam is only $25 because they’re running a promotion but I had to pay an extra $50 because I was a walk-in. I tried to ask if she can waive the walk-in fee and she said no even though they were not busy at all and she was in there for one minute.

I’ve been coming here for a while and have had good experiences, which made this last visit really disappointing.
I brought my dog in because he was sick, and the entire appointment felt rushed. It seemed like the staff was trying to wrap up for the day, and one of the vet assistants even mentioned she wasn’t feeling well and didn’t want to be there right outside our door, which was uncomfortable.
We agreed to do all recommended tests, including bloodwork and X-rays, and were charged a lot, but still left with just antibiotics and probiotics and no real answers. A week later, my dog is having the same symptoms again.
Overall, I felt rushed and didn’t receive the level of care as before.
