DO NOT SIGN UP FOR WELLNESS PLAN!!!! They will tell you can cancel at anytime when you sign up but won’t let you cancel afterwards. Won’t even put the plan on pause when dealing with financial issues. The only reason they are getting 2 stars is because the staff at this location are pretty good.

My first three visits at Banfield Pet Hospital were efficient and the staff was kind, which is why this experience was disappointing. During my dog’s surgery appointment, I didn’t feel well supported. I was required to purchase a cone because the one I brought was not accepted, and I was told even a donut alternative would not be suitable. My main concern, however, was the post-operative care. A follow-up appointment that had been scheduled for my dog’s recovery was canceled the day before by phone. I was then asked to evaluate the surgical site myself and send photos instead of having him seen in person. Even when I expressed concern that the scrotum area looked slightly more swollen than expected, I still did not receive any response after sending the photos besides I called them a couples of times to follow up. As a pet owner, I don’t feel qualified to assess a surgical wound, and this lack of follow-up left me concerned and unsupported during an important recovery period.

What is an Optimum Wellness Plan?
Optimum Wellness Plans are designed to provide annual preventive care. They include head-to-tail exams, vaccines, early screening diagnostics, consultations for proper nutrition, dental care and more! Since wellness plans are not insurance, they do not include treatment for unpredictable or abnormal conditions, however discounts would apply. Because pets need ongoing preventive care, wellness plans automatically renew at the end of each twelve month period (unless paid in full at enrollment).
How do I pay for an Optimum Wellness Plan?
You can spread the cost of your wellness plan across the 12 months of your annual agreement to make it easier to budget for the essential health care your pet needs. Your monthly payments can be automatically withdrawn from a checking or savings account or charged to a credit card so that you don’t have to worry about them once you enroll. We also offer the option of paying in full if you prefer.
What kind of appointment do I have?
• In-room appointments: You and your pet visit the vet together. Please arrive a few minutes before your appointment time
• Drop-off appointments: If you have a drop-off appointment, we will communicate a time to drop off your pet. Keep your phone nearby and we’ll call you when your pet is ready for pickup.
