If I could give this place leas than one star I would. I came in because my dogs liver blood work has consistently been high. Came in for an abdominal ultrasound and it took almost 45 minutes before they could see him. I was told that the ultrasound, by two different vet techs that the test will be able to tell if there are any cancerous tumors in his body. The doc did not call me back after 3 days so I followed up. The doc now tells me that the only way to conclusively tell whether he has cancer is to take a small organ sample from his liver from another clinic. What was the Pont of the ultrasound?????? Mind you it was over $700. I feel very much so lied to. Please watch these people and be careful.

My experience with Dr. Sebastiao was extremely disappointing. My dog, Izzy, is a rescue who is fearful of new people and needs a few minutes to warm up. The front desk associate, Wilmarie, and the veterinary staff were wonderful. They gave her treats, spoke calmly to her, and by the end of their interactions she had settled down significantly. Unfortunately, the entire tone of the appointment changed when Dr. Sebastiao entered the room. As soon as Izzy barked, she immediately requested a muzzle without attempting to build any rapport with her or give her time to adjust. While I completely understand the need for safety precautions, I was surprised by the lack of patience and low-stress handling techniques for a nervous rescue dog. After the muzzle was placed on Izzy, Dr. Sebastiao took the leash from my hand and began pulling her across the room until a staff member pointed out that she was wearing a prong collar. By that point, Izzy was extremely anxious, and I no longer felt comfortable continuing the appointment. I ultimately left in tears. Wilmarie was incredibly kind, brought me into a private room, and helped calm both me and my dog. Ironically, once Izzy was given a few minutes to feel comfortable, she stopped barking altogether. I want to thank Wilmarie, Melissa, and the male veterinary nurse for their patience and professionalism. They were excellent. Unfortunately, my experience with Dr. Sebastiao was the complete opposite. If your dog is fearful or anxious, I would recommend requesting a different veterinarian.

Would give negative stars. Was told my cat moved too much to do a fine needle aspiration even under mild sedation and they couldn’t even get anything for a cytology. Lied on the records saying I declined the cytology. Only thing I declined was a more expensive procedure. Was told he probably has a tumor I should euthanize in a few days. Took him to a different vet that was able to take a sample for cytology with no sedation and test results came back with 0 indicators of cancer. He had an abscess that is now completely healed with proper antibiotics. If you can’t afford the expensive treatment/surgery the next best way to make money off you is to kill your pet.

I really love this vet, honestly. I’m not entirely sure why there are so many bad reviews. If you read carefully about what plans you’re signing up for and actually follow what they tell you to do for your appointments, they’re some of the nicest vets I have ever been to. I tried getting my sick kitten into VCA before my scheduled appointment because he was taking a turn for the worst, and they refused to see us, but Banfield saw us and took care of him very well. The receptionist is also very kind and helpful.
