I don’t think my puppy would have made it without the help of Dr.Monk. Banfield offers honesty, transparency, and compassion. I will be returning here with all pets

Dr Monk made us feel reassured we had the right action plan options, and gave us some confidence in our cats skin allergy! Finally things are making sense. That reason alone is why we now will bring our cats here in addition to our pup. Thanks guys

I brought my dog in after becoming concerned that he was not urinating or walking normally following his neuter procedure. As a worried pet owner, I was looking for reassurance, guidance, and a thorough discussion about what could or could not be normal during recovery. Unfortunately, my experience with Dr. Jennifer Weston left me feeling dismissed and embarrassed for voicing my concerns. I was told there was “no way” my dog could be holding his urine for that long because of the size of his bladder and that he was “probably peeing like a big boy now.” While I understand veterinarians have medical experience and may see things differently in a clinical setting, the conversation felt condescending rather than supportive. I also explained that my dog was still not walking normally at home, but was told he had been walking around fine in the back. Dogs can behave differently in a stressful clinic environment versus at home, and I did not feel that my observations as the owner were taken seriously. Additional lab work and a urinalysis were offered, but at an additional cost of nearly $300, without much explanation or reassurance as to what the next steps would be or whether my concerns were valid. I ultimately left feeling more anxious, unsupported, and without clear answers. I do want to add that this experience was disappointing because I have otherwise had very positive experiences with this hospital. I have brought both of my dogs here in the past and have always respected and appreciated the staff and other veterinarians I have encountered. The technicians, front desk staff, and previous doctors I have seen have been compassionate, professional, and caring, which is why this interaction stood out to me so much. I completely respect the difficulty of emergency veterinary medicine and appreciate the staff caring for animals under stressful conditions. However, bedside manner and communication matter greatly, especially when someone is worried about their pet. I hope future clients receive a more compassionate and collaborative experience.

Loved Dr. Brian Christopher Monk and Vet Assistant Rosie, they treated my frenchie as if he was their own when he was in pain and afraid, Dr. Monk was able to diagnose the problem with a small amount of information I gave him and he explained the diagnose to me with knowledge and certainty.
