I have been taking my pets on the plan for years. I would not put any new pet on the Banfield plan again. The people are all very sweet and charming they are very helpful, BUT no call backs with any of that help, the doctor always finds something wrong with the pets for which they prescribe the same medication six months ago and its always more than $50.00 and over the plan coverage, they have a medical records of this. I don't know if they even keep medical records. They never know or have any idea of what they have given my pets before. As a good vetanerian facility l give them a zero...zero.

Dr. Chavez, front desk staff Christian and vet tech Vivi are excellent. -- kind, knowledgable, competent. If we weren't moving, I would absolutely come to this Banfield location for all our vet care. I feel very differently about the private practice we started with and about other Miami Banfield locations.

I want to applaud, Vivian, Dr. Chavez medical assistant who was personally so caring with my pet. She explained to me the different Wellness plans so specifically. Sabrina front desk was also kind, sweet and on point. Dr. Chavez took her time explaining to me in detail the results of the various tests done on my boy cat. In overall, I am extremely content with this particular Banfield Hospital. In fact, it was Christian, who was my first person of contact, made us feel welcomed while making our first appointment. My kitty cat, Gyorgio Armani, wants to thank you all. MEOW....muchas gracias!!!

Avoid Sandra the veterinary assistant. From the moment she walked into the exam room, Sandra was rude, hostile, and had a sour facial expression. My senior rescue dog, Mila, has a severe trauma history and can only be examined after she’s had her prescribed calming medications and if my father is in the room holding her. We specifically scheduled an in-room appointment for this reason and our file has a note that states we need in room examinations. Sandra said she’d be taking Mila to the back to collect all the samples and we reminded her the appointment was in room, that it is absolutely necessary for my dad to hold her to allow for any procedures to actually take place. She said that wasn’t possible and that in room appointments still required Mila to be taken to the back. A lie. I corrected her and told her that Dr. Lester had been able to do everything in the room before but she again dismissed us and insisted on taking Mila to the back. Again my dad told her Mila only lets people examine her if he’s present and holding her, that it’s the only way. She again disregarded us and Mila’s wellbeing and said she had to separate Mila from us. She could not care less about what we explained multiple times and flat out lied to us. She took Mila and ten minutes later, she brought Mila back. Mila was terrified and covered in urine and feces. Mila has never soiled herself before. So I can’t imagine how callous and rough her approach must have been to scare Mila so badly. Instead of showing any compassion or sympathy, Sandra was actually angry at Mila and exclaimed Mila’s medications needed to be increased. She said she couldn’t obtain any samples due to Mila's behavior. Which again was a lie. She was just now trying to deny our care because we found out later that samples were in fact successfully obtained. She was extremely and inappropriately upset, placing the blame on Mila and by extension us even though she was the one to dismiss our attempts at having the exams done in room. She never apologized. She didn’t offer any gloves or wipes or paper towel to clean Mila. We told her, her behavior was entirely out of line, unacceptable, and concerning and she did not showcase an ounce of remorse, integrity, or accountability. We told her we’d like someone else to tend to Mila and that this experience has made us want to search for another Vet moving forward. She accused us of refusing care and suggested we cancel Mila’s appointment since there was nothing that could be done. Baffling. We clarified that we never said we didn’t want Mila’s exam to be completed, we just wanted somebody else to see her. She stormed out of the room and we never saw her again. I would never trust her with any animal, especially one with anxiety or a trauma history. If she is assigned to your appointment, request someone else immediately. You would be putting your pet in harms way if you hand them off to her. Besides her unprofessional attitude and unethical code of conduct, her disinterest in acknowledging an animals history and prioritizing animal safety is alarming and dangerous. The negligence was appalling.
