Same terrible customer service. After leaving them once and having to return because South Beach closed, nothing had changed. If convenience is what you need fine, if you don’t have the patience for incompetence go to another location!

I genuinely hate leaving negative reviews, especially for places I trust with my pets, but this experience at Banfield Midtown Miami was incredibly disappointing.
My dog Nala had an appointment scheduled for 05/13/26 at 9:00 AM. I received multiple confirmation texts, a confirmation voicemail, and even called back to confirm the appointment myself. When I arrived for the original appointment, I was told the appointment had somehow not been properly entered into the system and that I would need to come back the following day instead.
Although this was frustrating and inconvenient, I understood mistakes happen and agreed to rearrange my schedule to come back the next morning. I made it very clear to the employee helping me (Bridget C.) that I work and would have to move things around last minute in order to make it happen. She reassured me it would be fine and even told me she would be there all morning.
The next day, despite doing my best to rearrange my entire morning because of THEIR scheduling error, I arrived about 30 minutes late. Before I could even explain myself, Bridget immediately raised her voice at me in front of other customers. People in the lobby literally turned around because of how uncomfortable the interaction was.
I calmly explained that I had already communicated the scheduling conflict the day before and reminded her that I would not even have needed to come back had the original appointment not been mishandled. Instead of showing understanding or professionalism, the interaction continued with an unnecessarily rude attitude that honestly left me shocked.
Thankfully, the nurse and doctor on staff were kind, calm, and accommodating. They were able to squeeze Nala into the schedule, and I truly appreciate them for that. The medical staff themselves were wonderful.
However, customer service matters — especially at a place where people are trusting you with beloved family pets. After reading other reviews, I realized I’m clearly not the only person who has experienced issues with the front desk/customer service at this location.
The only reason I’ll continue using Banfield at all is because I’ve had consistently positive experiences at the Boca Raton location. If Midtown Miami were my only option, I would honestly rather pay out of pocket elsewhere than continue bringing my pets here.
I hope management takes these concerns seriously, because the doctors and nurses deserve a front desk experience that reflects the same level of care and professionalism they provide.

I’ve been taking my dog there for about three years now and a lot of the time I feel a lack of warmth or lack of care from the staff members there. They seem to also forget the things that I’ve told them about my dog even though they have notes in their system. My dog has had to go to an Emergency vet office a couple times over the years and Id prefer to take him there if it wasn’t an emergency setting. They are sweet to my dog and seem like they actually give a damn about their patients and what they do. Some of the procedures done there cost me way less without “insurance” than with having my animal insured with Banfield. Banfield has a bad reputation with the indifference and lack of attention the staff members seem to have towards the animal. That doesn’t apply to every staff member there, there are definitely gems working there like Kira at the front desk.
Last time I had my dog there they kept him there all day because of a teeth cleaning. When I came to pick him up, as we were leaving the desk—not even a few steps from away— he peed like he had never peed before and then proceeded to poop two different times before even leaving the building. I was stuck cleaning the mess, which I have no problem cleaning up after my dog but I could tell no one took him out to go to the bathroom… not one time. They saw me dealing with that and said nothing and did not offer assistance. I will be looking for services elsewhere.

We also offer the option of paying in full if you prefer.
