I would like to respectfully share my experience because I believe situations like this should be heard.
This was the third time I brought my puppy, Zuri Calana Pupo, who is one and a half years old, to the Grooming Department at this establishment. Unfortunately, today, 8/22/26, I had an experience that left me extremely disappointed and saddened.
I understand that Zuri can be a little restless and that she is uncomfortable when her paws are touched. I also understand that working with animals can sometimes be challenging and that there are safety procedures and limitations that need to be followed. However, I believe these situations should be handled with patience, empathy, and professionalism.
During my visit to the Grooming Department, I was informed that Zuri had been marked with an “F” because of her behavior and that, according to the manager, she would not be allowed to return to the establishment unless she was trained or sedated.
What disappointed me the most was the way the situation was handled. The grooming service could not be completed, and I was not given the opportunity to speak directly with the manager or receive a personal explanation regarding what happened or what alternatives might have been available.
As a customer, I felt disrespected by the way this decision was communicated to me and by the lack of consideration shown toward me as her owner and toward my pet. Regardless of the challenges that may arise during a grooming service, I believe there are much more professional, respectful, and compassionate ways to communicate a decision like this.
Zuri is a very important part of my life. I completely understand that safety must be a priority for both the animal and the staff, but I expected to be treated with the same respect and professionalism that I showed when placing my trust in this establishment.
After this experience, I want to make it clear that I would never bring Zuri Calana Pupo back to these facilities. Trust is extremely important when it comes to the care of a pet, and unfortunately, after what happened, that trust has been completely lost.
I am not questioning the establishment’s right to have policies or to refuse service when they believe there may be a safety concern. What I am questioning is the lack of communication, empathy, and professionalism with which, from my perspective, this situation was handled.
I hope my experience can serve as an opportunity to review the procedures in the Grooming Department and, most importantly, how these types of decisions are communicated to customers. When someone entrusts the care of their pet to a business, they expect not only a service, but also understanding, respect, compassion, and dignity.

As a pet mom, I have a huge concern about trusting Banfield Pet Hospital. My experience was extremely disappointing. I made an appointment, but they scheduled me at the wrong location. After wasting my time driving there, they did nothing to take responsibility or try to resolve the issue. Instead, they simply told me to go to the other location because “it’s not that far.”
What made this even more upsetting is that I have been taking my pet child to this same location for more than three years. Despite that history, they still transferred his records to another location, which made me feel like they were not paying attention to my pet’s care or my concerns. It left me with the impression that they simply didn’t care enough to verify where his records belonged or why they were being moved.
The staff was rude, unorganized, and showed no respect for my time or for how frustrating the situation was. Customer service should be about helping find a solution when mistakes happen, but that was not my experience at all.
As a pet parent, I expect compassion, professionalism, and attention to detail. Unfortunately, I experienced the opposite. Pet parents, please be careful when choosing where to take your beloved pets. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this location. I would give them 0 stars if that were an option.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Alexus and Dr. Giselle Martinez. From day one, Alexus has always taken the time to acknowledge every concern I have about my dogs, Scooby and Shaggy. She is kind, compassionate, patient, and truly makes you feel heard during what can be very stressful moments as a pet parent.
I know veterinary offices can get busy, and honestly, I never mind the wait times because I know they are caring for my two pets along with many others who need help. The level of care and attention they provide is worth every minute.
Taking my dogs to the vet used to make me incredibly anxious, and I would often leave in tears worrying about them. However, Alexus and Dr. Giselle Martinez have completely changed that experience for me. Their compassion, professionalism, and genuine love for animals shine through in every interaction. Not only have they helped me feel more comfortable and confident, but even Scooby and Shaggy seem more at ease during their visits.
The love, dedication, and care they show every animal is truly exceptional. They have changed my perspective on veterinary care, and I am beyond grateful for everything they have done for my dogs. Thank you, Alexus and Dr. Martinez, for treating Scooby and Shaggy as if they were your own. It means more than words can express. 🫶🐾❤️
I also want to give special recognition to Alexus for always going above and beyond. One moment that really stayed with me was when my dogs needed medication that had to be cut into specific doses. I was struggling to do it correctly and felt embarrassed having to ask for help. Not only did Alexus take the time to explain it to me, but she patiently went over it multiple times until I understood. She even went out of her way to cut each individual pill for me herself. What could have been an uncomfortable situation turned into one where I felt supported and cared for. She never made me feel rushed or judged; instead, she made me feel comfortable enough to ask questions and learn. That level of kindness, patience, and dedication is rare, and it meant so much to me during a stressful time. ❤️

We also offer the option of paying in full if you prefer.
