Deworming

Banfield Pet Hospital® offers Deworming. Deworming is the administration of medication to eliminate internal parasites (such as roundworms, tapeworms, and hookworms) from an animal's body.

Gastrointestinal illness diagnosis and treatment

Gastrointestinal illness treatment at Banfield Pet Hospital® starts with identifying the underlying cause – which can range from dietary issues to infections – and then providing appropriate therapy such as diet changes, fluid therapy, or medication.

General dentistry

All Banfield Pet Hospital® locations offer basic dental care for pets. This may include professional cleanings, dental examinations, or oral surgeries to maintain oral health and prevent diseases.

General surgery

Surgery is a broad category in veterinary medicine. At Banfield Pet Hospital ®, surgeries may include routine spaying and neutering to common operations, performed to address health issues or injuries in animals.

Microchipping

At Banfield Pet Hospital®, we provide microchipping for pets. This process involves inserting a chip under the pet's skin, with a unique ID that can help reunite lost pets with their owners.

Parasite control

Parasite treatment at Banfield Pet Hospital® may involve administering medication to eradicate and prevent parasites, such as fleas, ticks, and worms, that infest or infect animals.

Spaying and neutering

At Banfield Pet Hospital®, spaying (for females) and neutering (for males) are surgical procedures performed under anesthesia. These procedures can help prevent unwanted breeding and may reduce the risk of certain cancers and behavioral issues in pets.

It’s always excellent! I didn’t give it a five star because I get placed on a long hold almost every time I call.

Dr. Kajatt was the most professional and caring vet i could ask for when we had to have our dog put to sleep. She was very gentle with our sweet baby and was very sympathetic with us. Banfield is very lucky to have such a wonderful vet as her. I will continue to use the Margate hospital when I adopt another dog as long as she is there.

BE AWARE PLEASE!!!!! This is for the ones like me.. Don't be fooled by Banfield's wellness plan, it is a mere scamm to get you tied up into something you can't get out of, something that anyone apart from the person who signs the contract with Banfield can add money to without you being notified, a scamm that if you tried canceling they will rack the charges up even higher than what other places usually or the market rate, there have been over a thousand BBB complaints of their misleading information as it pertains to the wellness plan and past class action lawsuits don't be like me. On June 8th I took my dog there to get a Cytopoint injection as i always do at other vets, but due to the increase in cost I read the reviews and asked the cost at Banfield Margate Fl and it was fairly reasonable, took my dog in i was introduced to their wellness plan, I was a bit iffy at first and rightly so should have went with my first instinct, but what caught me was the fact that I can take my do in as much as I wanted to at no cost , have blood work done, ect at a discounted rate of $87 monthly, as a lover of dogs including mines i was immediately sold, I was also informed that i could get his teeth cleaned without any additional cost so long as i bring my dog in on June 20th @ 7:15am, I accepted the appointment and was told that if i don't take him in that date I would have to redo his blood work out of pocket, I did take him in but not me personally, now remember i said I signed the contract no one else was listed, I accepted the appointment no one else did. My dog was dropped off and apparently whomever dropped my dog was told there will be an additional charge, remember back in the statement I was told there would be none if taken in on june 20th, and of course that was a lie. When I arrived to pick my dog up i was informed that I had a charge of $77 , mind you they had my number and I always and I mean always answer my phone so long as I'm alive, they took the authorization of the person who dropped my dog off for the additional charges, now there is where they violated the contract that I SIGNED!! and took away my right to decline, have I was informed at the time of drop off of the extra charges I would have immediately declined and canceled the plan at that point along with the appointment, but i was erased from the picture because I wouldn't have agreed to it, after the additional cost constantly being thrown at me I got irritated and the vet called the cops on me which in return told the it was a civil matter but at the Sametime trying to convince the cops that whomever dropped my dog off is considered and authorized person, again I SIGNED THE CONTRACT WITH BANFIELD NO ONE ELSE. BE AWARE !!!!!

Wow! Wow! Wow! After numerous attempts to other hospitals I could not afford going back to those. I started doom scrolling for help as my fur baby was ill and nobody was helping just taking my $$ and he was still the same. Lathargic, dopey walking with head down, whimpering and barking in our faces, dehydrated prior not at this visit. Nobody knew why, and I was $1000. into it already. I found this place on Google. Then I noticed they offer packages at a monthly rate with all different kinds of options to accommodate the patients parents pockets and helping us save and treat our babies vs a negative outcome become of finances. As a first patient they even offer a free waived first exam fee! Everyone told me my baby needed $700 worth of x-rays. I get here, everyone was so amazing and after his exam the Dr came in and discussed quiet thoroughly his opinion on my babies problem. He informed me no x-rays were needed at this time, but after 7 days on meds and watching at home if there was no improvement then yes x-rays would then be required for further answers. He informed me I can pay in full or we can opt for a package that includes one set of x-rays/yr and pay monthly vs going broke. I'm currently day 5 today and last night my baby woke up and was running with his head up, he played and gave lots of kisses & smiles and his belly is getting better. He has gastrointestinal issues bc his belly is sensitive, gerd and acid reflux. Less than $100 for the meds and boom back to almost normal! I highly recommend Banfield. I'm so happy, my pup is better and my pockets are grateful. What an amazing experience thank you so much for everything. You guys are the best!
