  I had a frustrating experience with Vetco regarding a Simparica Trio prescription for my puppy. At my appointment, I specifically asked if I could order a 3-month supply through Chewy to help manage costs and was told this was fine as long as my puppy's weight was stable. My puppy was even weighed twice during the visit to confirm he was within the correct range. After placing the order, it was denied. When I called, I was told only a single dose could be approved at a time due to an upcoming heart worm test at 7 months, which was never explained during the appointment because he was going to need the 3 months regardless leading up to the heart-worm exam. If I had known this upfront, I would have purchased the medication directly at the visit. I was then told to adjust my order to a single month for approval. Communication was also inconsistent. Chewy was initially discussed as an acceptable option, but after the call I was texted by staff that prescriptions should be filled through Petco.com. This was only communicated after I had already placed my order twice through Chewy, creating confusion and unnecessary extra steps. While the prescription was eventually approved after multiple calls and follow-ups, i was told “we will approve this one but next time you have to use petco” the overall process was confusing, inconsistent, and more complicated than it needed to be. I hope clearer communication is provided to future clients regarding prescription options and pharmacy requirements. my first visit here with Dr. Cruz was wonderful and i recommend but this 2nd appointment with another vet was this very stressful experience all for a refill.

  Booked an appointment lastnight at 6:30pm to get my kitten in for the soonest available the following day, and did a 3pm appt. I called around 10:30am this morning (day of apt) to see if they had any earlier slots available, and was told no. When I showed up to my appointment, Kayla at the front desk was unprofessional, rude, and dismissive. She told me my appointment was cancelled because I ‘didn’t confirm’ my appointment that I booked LAST NIGHT. And when I called this morning asking for an earlier time, wouldn’t that be me confirming? I never received any messages to confirm, the last thing I have was from lastnight after I booked it I got a message. Will provide screenshot below. Kayla was incredibly frustrating as she acted like she could not be bothered or understand the problem here. Why would my appointment be cancelled? I booked it last night and even spoke with vetco again this morning just to make sure there was nothing sooner. Unbelievable. Kayla ended up pulling out her phone and storming off. She couldn’t give me a good explanation and just kept saying “I can’t help you” and telling me there’s nothing to discuss. She went and grabbed the store manager, and I was able to get her name luckily from him because she wouldn’t give it to me. She also wouldn’t let me know the managers name/contact information, so the store manager gave me the managers business card. Incredibly stressful, my kitten is NOT doing well and I based my entire day off of the 3pm appointment just for it to be canceled for no reason at all.
