- MGMackenzie GroahApr 24, 20261.0Took our cat here to get routine bloodwork/vaccines before adopting a new cat. The vets were aware that we were on a time crunch, as we didn’t want to lose out on adopting the new cat. First time we went, we were told he was too anxious to work with and they prescribed him medicine. We rescheduled to come back the next day with him medicated. On the medicine, he was super relaxed. The next day they said they were able to do the vaccine, but the bloodwork is undoable still. They upped his dose and he was practically a zombie the next day. They stated they still could not do the bloodwork due to him being anxious and recommended we up his dose again. We weren’t comfortable with their advice to drug our cat for a fourth day that week. Not to mention, we weren’t even allowed back in the room with him while getting his bloodwork done. So, we couldn’t even see how he was acting. We told them we’d go somewhere else. We scheduled an appointment for south Orlando animal hospital the next morning. I was allowed back in the room with him, the vet spent time making sure my cat was comfortable, and they were able to do the blood work within minutes. Not to mention he was unmedicated.
