  I have 3 Huskies that I take to get groomed about every 6-8 weeks. Absolutely phenomenal job by Henry every single time. They look and smell wonderful afterwards. He's seriously so great with them. I honestly couldn't be happier with the results!!

  First time visit to this Petco's grooming services and we couldn't be happier. Pet stylist Courtney was wonderful from our initial greeting to the return of our Shetland Sheepdog Kenzie. Courtney checked Kenzie over throughly and pointed out problem areas and suggested solutions. Kenzie has some allergy issues since moving to Florida a few years ago which cause occasional hot spots and itchy, flaky rashes. Courtney discussed what she wanted to do with her cut and the shampoo & conditioner. Just over two hours later, Kenzie was done. She was happy and seemed much more comfortable, not itching or scratching. She also looked great. Petco's pricing is competitive and the service was top notch. We'll be back and we'll be asking for Courtney.

  I really wanted to like this grooming location, but after two frustrating experiences, I will not be bringing my dog back. Toby is a 10-pound miniature dachshund and already has anxiety about going to the groomer, so I specifically try to make the process as quick and stress-free for him as possible. Our first issue was during his previous appointment. I had booked it at least a week and a half in advance for 1:00 PM. My boyfriend dropped him off on time, and Toby was not ready until 5:00 PM. Four hours is an incredibly long time for a small dog to be sitting at a grooming salon, especially when we were originally told it would be around 2 to 3 hours. On top of that, I had booked the standard bath and haircut with an additional $2.99 charge for a special bandana. When my boyfriend finally picked him up, they had apparently added a summer package that I never requested. By the time everything was said and done, we paid around $125 after tip. Yes, we received a cute bandana and a small bag of treats, but I still do not understand why an additional package was added when that was not what I booked or agreed to. Unfortunately, today’s appointment was even more frustrating. His appointment was at noon, and this time he was not even getting a haircut. It was simply his standard bath service, including a bath, nail trim, and gland expression. When I dropped him off, I was told it would take 2 to 3 hours because they were busy. I already felt that was excessive for the services he was receiving, but I understood and waited. Three hours went by without a phone call, text, or any kind of update. At 3:00 PM, I finally went to the store because I was not willing to let him sit there for another four-hour visit. When I spoke with the person who serviced him, I was told Toby had actually been finished for about AN HOUR. He asked if I had received the text. I had not. He then asked if I had verified my phone number at drop-off. My number was correct on my account, correct on the paperwork I signed, and correct on the paperwork he was showing me when I arrived. For whatever reason, I simply was never notified. That means my anxious dog sat there for an extra hour, completely finished and ready to go home, while I was waiting for a notification that never came. The groomer was polite and did apologize, and I still tipped him because he performed the service and I don’t know whether the notification issue was personally his fault. However, an apology does not change what happened, especially after we already had an issue with Toby being there for an excessive amount of time during his previous visit. At this point, I think this location either needs additional grooming staff, fewer appointments scheduled at the same time, or a better system for communicating with customers when their pets are finished. Toby is a 10-pound miniature dachshund. He is tiny. Today’s appointment was literally just a bath, nail trim, gland expression, and the other standard services included with the bath. There is absolutely no reason that should turn into a three-hour ordeal, especially when he was actually finished after two hours and then sat there for ANOTHER HOUR because no one notified me. Unfortunately, after two experiences like this, I no longer feel comfortable leaving Toby here and will be finding another groomer.
