  We have had several very good experiences With Banfieldpreviously. However, it’s seems obvious that the policies and or management has changed for the worse. I simply went to get dogs checked for heartworm and purchase heartworm, flea and tick medication. Frustratingly had a solid half hour attempt to sell me pet “Insurance“, which is by all accounts, a complete scam! When I refused to “buy in“ and asked for an estimate of expenses, things went decidedly chilly. In the end, the expense was considerably greater than my regular veterinarian, the service was relatively dispatchfull, but by no means thorough. I am highly unlikely to take my revered family members there, or any other Banfield location, unless the prices go back to where they used to be, and they give up the sales protocol, which feels like I am being sized up for a timeshare! It’s a shame really, it was a good concept to start. It was nice to be able to have a walk in clinic available At a reasonable cost,, but I think I will find another solution for vaccinations and meds.

  I really haven't had a chance to really use their services too much, but what I have used (prescription diet food & 6 month wormers) I am very happy with!

  We've used Banfield as a vet since our dog was a puppy over 14 years ago. He is a yorkie mix with bad teeth that desperately needed to be cleaned last year. Dr. Kinnebrew refused to clean his teeth due to his recently developed mild kidney disease despite the deteriorating condition of his teeth and risk of abscess. I obtained a second opinion and the other doctor had no hesitations with cleaning his teeth despite the recently developed kidney condition, but the cost was of course very high. Dr. Kinnebrew agreed to run more blood work and would clean his teeth if his levels did not change drastically. Even after expensive testing with almost no change, she refused. Here we are now less than a year later with a severe abscess in his face and a need for emergency dental surgery at a cost of $2,000. Luckily we saw Dr. Lackey who is fantastic and I do wish we demanded to see her last year. We could have avoided the pain and suffering our dog has gone through over the last year of constant teeth grinding and pain. I highly recommend finding another vet in Jupiter. The monthly service fee will do nothing to help if you aren't receiving quality care.
