  I am concerned that Banfield tried to sell me SANOS dental sealant for both of my dogs for reasons that do not seem appropriate. For my first dog, I was told the product was recommended because of a cavity. While I was researching the product, I received a call about my second dog and was told the same product was recommended because of periodontal disease. After looking into SANOS dental sealant, I found that it is intended to help prevent plaque and tartar buildup, not treat cavities, periodontal disease, or enamel erosion. When I questioned the recommendation, the technician told me she did not know much about the product and that I would need to speak with the veterinarian. The veterinarian then stated that my dog did not have a cavity but had enamel erosion instead, which is also not a condition this product is designed to treat. It concerns me that the same $160 product was recommended for different dental conditions that it does not appear to treat. This felt more like an upsell than a medically necessary recommendation, and I believe pet owners should be given accurate information before being asked to pay for additional services.

  Terrible. The monthly payment is a scam. I’ve had it for years and it really hasn’t done much. I have a senior dog and for the past 2 years he absolutely hates going where I have to drag him in, barks and whines, and even jumps at the door the whole time he’s there and my dog never jumps. I bring him in every 2 - 3 months to get an allergy shot ($160 now) and that’s not included in the price but last time I told them he was sniffling and they said he was fine even though the allergy shot has only helped with his itching but his nose and everything has only gotten worse… **If I were you I would save your money and get pet insurance from somewhere else don’t let them diagnose your pet because it might be harder to find insurance but when I looked into it most insurance places include the allergy shot. It is really hard to get out of your contract with them is also what I’ve hear just waiting for mine to expire

  } Hello, I am following up regarding my request to cancel my Optimum Wellness Plan with Banfield Pet Hospital (Jacksonville, Gate Parkway location). At the time of enrollment, I was told I could cancel if needed, but it was not clearly explained that early cancellation would result in a remaining financial obligation. As an international client, I relied on the information provided. I would also like to note that the veterinarians were kind and professional. However, my experience with the front desk was inconsistent. I was told more than once that the neuter procedure was not covered, which later turned out to be incorrect. I was also asked to purchase additional medications such as pain relief and flea prevention despite the cost of the plan. Due to this lack of clarity and inconsistent information, I am requesting cancellation of the plan without further financial obligation. I have taken further steps to formally address this matter and would still prefer to resolve it directly with you. Please let me know how you would like to proceed. Thank you, Olha
