I highly recommend this vet. They are always so kind and go the extra mile for my dog who is reactive to both animals and humans. The staff is super friendly and flexible to your needs. The best vet I have experienced so far!

I had a very disappointing experience with Benefield Pet Services. After several attempts to reach them, I finally got through but was placed on hold for 15 minutes. When the front desk assistant returned, instead of apologizing for the wait, she asked how she could assist me. A brief acknowledgment of my time would have been appreciated. When I pointed this out, she responded dismissively and hung up on me.
This level of service is unacceptable, especially considering my history as a loyal customer. It feels as though Benefield is more focused on profits than on genuinely caring for their clients and their pets. If they’re overwhelmed with customers, that’s not my concern; they should handle it better.
For those looking for veterinary services, I recommend checking out Pet Doctors of America or other programs that prioritize customer care. I advise anyone to think twice before engaging with Benefield.

I will not be renewing with this vet. The plans are already expensive, require auto-renewal, and I still have to pay out of pocket at every visit despite paying $80/month for their senior plan. I’m also concerned because after being taken inside, my dog has been traumatized and refuses to go back in. Support was dismissive and unhelpful. Very disappointing experience.

I want to be clear: the staff is generally nice, and the veterinarian herself is kind and passionate about her job. It’s unfortunate she works for a company whose practices feel greedy and manipulative.
Every visit seems to come with new ways to add charges, but today was the final straw.
Our dog was being treated for an ear infection, so vaccines were postponed due to his immune system being compromised. That made sense. We were told to return in a month for a follow-up, and that the follow-up visit would be significantly discounted compared to a normal exam.
Today was that follow-up. I was informed the infection-causing bacteria was gone, with just minor buildup left. They offered to “test it” (a swab under a microscope) for $60. I asked if it was required since we still had medication and ear flush at home. They said no, so I declined.
At checkout, they charged full price for the visit. I reminded them this was supposed to be a discounted follow-up. After speaking with a manager, I was told it didn’t qualify as a follow-up because no additional treatment was performed. Apparently re-examining his ears and discussing treatment plans didn’t count… probably since that was free. I was also told the visit had been “put in wrong” and couldn’t be corrected because it would have had to have been fixed before check-in even though we arrived saying we were there for the follow-up when we walked in. It feels like I shouldn’t be accountable if something was “put in wrong” by your employee. But I was informed they were not allowed by corporate to adjust anything.
The “discount” also turned out to be only $20 off, not the near half-price difference we were led to expect. So the only way to “qualify” for the cheaper visit would have been agreeing to an optional $60 test just to save $20 on the exam.
That’s not medical care. That feels like a scam.
I know it’s just $20 but it’s more about what this represents. I can’t trust this company and what they say. Probably didn’t help that, after the appointment, no one told me we were free to go. I sat alone in the exam room for 30 extra minutes until I asked someone. I understand mistakes happen, but combined with the billing issues, it just added to the frustration.
Again, great vet. Would love to support her if she literally worked anywhere else.

I’ve really tried to give this facility the benefit of the doubt but after 7yrs I ve finally had enough. I don’t have the time or energy to go about listing how many times they’ve fallen short for me and my pet. All I can say is I’m very disappointed and unhappy with Banfield and I’m in the process cancelling my wellness plan and finding a new vet for my pet.

We also offer the option of paying in full if you prefer.
What kind of appointment do I have?
• In-room appointments: You and your pet visit the vet together. Please arrive a few minutes before your appointment time
