Dont ever get on the plan. They will upsell you on everything and its impossible to get out of it. Routine Requests require layers of approval costing time and money.

I called my Banfield location to ask if my pets’ Simparica Trio prescription could be sent to Costco, as I wanted to see if it would be less expensive there. Autumn informed me that it could not. I responded, “Okay, in that case, can I just come pick it up from Banfield instead?” At that point, Autumn told me no because my pet is due for a heartworm test in July (his plan renewal month). This immediately confused me because we’ve been Banfield Wellness Plan members since my dog was eight weeks old, and I’ve never been told I couldn’t pick up his preventive medication before his renewal appointment. I expressed that this didn’t sound right, but she repeatedly insisted that she had already spoken with the doctors and managers and that “everyone in the building is going to tell you the same thing.” Still unsure, I called another Banfield location. They had no issue filling the prescription and told me I could come pick up the Simparica Trio the very same day. I then called the original location back and spoke with another employee. She placed me on hold to ask a manager, but the call was transferred back to Autumn. This time, Autumn told me I could pick up a single dose. I asked why I had previously been told I couldn’t receive any medication at all. She claimed she never told me that and said she simply explained that Costco wasn’t an option. That is not what happened. After she told me Costco wasn’t an option, I specifically asked if I could instead pick it up directly from Banfield, and she repeatedly told me no because my pet needed a heartworm test. When I mentioned that her attitude during the call was rude and dismissive, she denied having an attitude and said that was simply how she talks. Because of this interaction, I asked her to close my file so I could pick up my pet’s medication from another Banfield location instead. I will not be returning to this location. Customer service matters just as much as medical care. Had the policy simply been explained correctly from the beginning, this entire situation could have been avoided. Instead, I was given inconsistent information, spoken to dismissively, and made to feel like my concerns were invalid. I hope management addresses both the inconsistency in communication and the way customers are treated.

Great place! My dog is a rescue and still gets super nervous around people and they were so kind and patient with her :))) They didn’t try to force me to buy anything or get any medications, they gave me genuine advice and really listened to my concerns. I would recommended going to this location

Arrived yesterday for my confirmed appointment only to be told I’d have to wait 2 hours or reschedule.. made an appointment for the next day because they said they had “wide open availability”.. I waited an hour for someone to come into the room! I understand wanting to make a profit but making people wait with their super nervous dogs isn’t the best way to do it. Stop over booking!

The store Bainfield is located in, great. The Vet clinic on the other hand, leaves something to be desired… quite a few things to be desired honestly. Their bedside manner is horrendous and the people at the clinic were unprofessional and couldn’t even answer simple questions. We originally went in for the rabies vax and to talk about neutering. When we told the vet that we have wormed and vaccinated our dog at home, the disgust on their face was appalling. I was raised on a farm. I have hands on experience when it comes to administration, shelf life, and what to watch for. So instead of jumping to conclusions and being so judgmental, let’s actually educate rather than shame. Second, they continuously tried pushing the pet package so we could redo the shots and do the neuter with them. We ultimately walked out without doing anything because of how uncomfortable Bainfield made us. We ended up calling another vet and got scheduled elsewhere so don’t worry vet, you can wipe that disgusting look off your face. We know how to take care of our pets. Overall, take your pets elsewhere. Bainfield does not treat you with respect or dignity.
