But when I called today to cancel my wellness plan I was told that I still have to pay my monthly balance for the rest of the year even though my pet is gone But I got a discount and I only have to pay 171$?? That is absolutely disgusting so be aware when you sign up want any plan with Banfield.I find this hard to believe but I don’t even know why am I surprised.

I don’t trust anyone but especially those who act like they have something to hide! who knows if a vet actually ever looked at the dog? Then some guy comes out from the back that barely seemed qualified to be a vet for a weird 2 min interaction. Majority of the time was spent waiting (the entire wellness visit took almost 2 hours even though they walked me right in to a room). Nurse spent more time telling me about his cancer then listening to me talk about what my dog (the patient) had been through. Then nurse spent significant time trying to sell me their wellness plan to which I declined and afree wards he took my dog to the back for bloodwork but didn’t bring her back out so after 30 mins I went looking for her and that’s when j was told they do the exam In the back out of sight of the owner and even without telling me ahead of time.. I threatened the nurse that if they harmed my dog they’d regret it. Everything about this entire place was weird. Wouldn’t go back.

What is an Optimum Wellness Plan?
Optimum Wellness Plans are designed to provide annual preventive care. They include head-to-tail exams, vaccines, early screening diagnostics, consultations for proper nutrition, dental care and more! Since wellness plans are not insurance, they do not include treatment for unpredictable or abnormal conditions, however discounts would apply. Because pets need ongoing preventive care, wellness plans automatically renew at the end of each twelve month period (unless paid in full at enrollment).
How do I pay for an Optimum Wellness Plan?
You can spread the cost of your wellness plan across the 12 months of your annual agreement to make it easier to budget for the essential health care your pet needs. Your monthly payments can be automatically withdrawn from a checking or savings account or charged to a credit card so that you don’t have to worry about them once you enroll. We also offer the option of paying in full if you prefer.

• In-room appointments: You and your pet visit the vet together. Please arrive a few minutes before your appointment time
• Drop-off appointments: If you have a drop-off appointment, we will communicate a time to drop off your pet. Keep your phone nearby and we’ll call you when your pet is ready for pickup.
• Optimum Wellness Plans® Virtual Visits: If you have an Optimum Wellness Plan and scheduled a Virtual Visit, you’ll save valuable time and get quality care from the comfort of your home.
