Horrible grooming customer service. They called me a liar saying they didn't have my information on file when I was there not even 6 months ago.

Worst store I've ever shopped at. Everything was was so expensive and I customer service was terrible. And out of the seven items that I came there to get they didn't have not one of them. Next time I'll be shopping at PetSmart.

I happened to be picking up an order from a neighboring store and decided to run into the Fleming Island Petco, out of convenience. I had dinner in the car and knew that what I needed, if they had it, would be a quick grab but I also knew it would require help from an employee. My original plan was to just pick up what I needed at a different store the following day (I had already called my regular store and knew that they had what I wanted). Since I was right there at Petco, I figured I’d run in quickly. I walked in and headed straight for what I was looking for. They had a few of what I wanted but I would need an employee to open the case and help me. So, I looked around for someone but did not find anyone. I could see all around the area, and there was no one. I walked back up to the front of the store and asked the lady at the register if she could help or have someone help. I told her exactly what I was wanting to get. Another employee was walking away with her cash drawer. The lady told me she would get someone to help me, so I knew there must be a different person somewhere in the store. I walked back and waited. I never heard her call for anyone to come help and I stood there for several minutes. I told myself I would wait 5 more minutes and then I was leaving. I already knew that my regular store of choice had what I wanted and could get it the next day. A young man showed up but obviously not to help me. He slowly wandered over to another area close by and then started chatting with a customer who had just walked up. They were just making small talk. I knew he could see me, and I was obviously in front of a case that only he could open. I was still under the impression that the cashier had done as she said, and asked someone to help me. So, I waited, but well beyond my time that I set. At this point, I felt like the woman at the counter did not tell anyone I needed help and obviously did not care to help me herself. She knew I had not checked out yet, and had not walked past her in order to leave the store. I was just about to walk away when the young man started walking towards me. I thought, “Okay, here we go! Finally! He is going to come over and I can get on my way.” Instead, he was actually just walking past me. So I said that I needed help and politely asked if he might be able to help me. He just said, “I’ll be back.” and kept walking. Now, I was kind of annoyed. I have no idea why I didn’t walk out of there immediately. I think I was processing the entire visit up to this point, which in reality I should already have purchased my item and been in my car, driving back home. Instead, I foolishly waited, and waited. I finally reached my limit and was walking out of the store and passed him. He told me he was headed back there and asked what I needed. I’m thinking to myself, “I already told you exactly what I needed the first time I asked for your help, and now we are starting over as if we’ve never spoken?” Again, I should have just walked out of there, but turned to head back with him. I had to repeat myself agsin ince we got back to the case. He finally got my item, which I indeed could not have gotten without an employee with a key. I walked up, paid, and left. I will never go back, not even out of convenience. At my regular store (another chain pet store), I am always greeted when I walk in, even if they are with customers. I’ve never been in the store more than a few minutes before someone approached me to see how they could help, and I’ve always felt that they were glad to help. Sadly, my previous experience at the Fleming Island Petco was also lacking good customer service. I really do not recommend the store, but am sure they hook people because they are the only ones in the Fleming shopping area. I can promise you that there are much better options, just about a 10 minute drive away. (Orange Park, Pet Supermarket on Blanding Blvd. Their customer service is top notch. We’ve shopped there for years.)

Went in to get crickets they didn't have any so I was going to buy worms well every pack of worms were half dead half alive so I asked if I could get a discount 20% since I'd be paying for 50% dead worms and only asking for 20%discount she told me 10 % is all she would do and was extremely rude as well

As far as my dealings with them I would never buy 1 of there animals. Was in there this week and was shocked at 2 of their lizards. A Leopard Gecko looked so bad not sure he was alive. Getting ready to drop his tail, blue feet, eyes matted. Was sad to see. Also a baby beardy that was just bone. Was crazy. Asked a worker to check on them but who knows. Looked too far gone to me😭and they have and on site vet??
