I came in here yesterday looking to buy a snake. I was immediately greeted as I walked in and helped right away. Sophia was truly such a charm. I had so many questions about the snake, and she helped answer all of them. She made the checkout process really smooth, and I truly appreciated her help.

One of the worst customer service experiences I have ever had. You guys just lost a customer who spends almost $400 every month on food for my 9 dogs.
I only brought one of my dogs without a leash because she is in training, and it was around 9 a.m. when nobody was even there. The employee was very rude, especially in the way he spoke to me.
I’ve been shopping at this Petco for almost 2 years and never had any issues until this tall white guy showed a bad attitude toward customers. Make sure to train your employees properly on how to treat customers with respect

Took my dog here to simply just get his nails cut. The girl who cut his nails was new. I watched her refuse help from an experienced groomer and then proceeded to bring me my dog back with terribly chopped nails… don’t know how to explain it. I called asking for a refund and I have yet to have someone call me back.
I had an amazing experience at Petco Plantation thanks to Valentina. I came in as a brand-new kitten owner with a ton of questions—everything from what to feed her, to litter boxes, to preparing for the first vet visit—and she went way above and beyond to help me.
Valentina was incredibly patient, knowledgeable, and thorough. She didn’t rush me at all and made sure I actually understood what I needed instead of just trying to sell me products. She walked me through the essentials, explained why certain choices matter, and made me feel confident leaving the store.
You can tell she genuinely cares about animals and about helping people take proper care of them. That kind of service is rare.
If you’re going to this location, I highly recommend asking for Valentina. She made a stressful first-time experience easy and positive.

We had an incredible experience with Valentina, our dog trainer at Petco, during the 6-week puppy training course. From the very first class, it was clear that she genuinely cares about both the dogs and their owners. She brought a level of patience, knowledge, and enthusiasm that made every session something we actually looked forward to.
Valentina has a great ability to read each dog’s personality and tailor her approach accordingly. Our puppy started out easily distracted and a bit stubborn, but with her guidance, we saw steady and noticeable improvement week after week. She broke down each command and behavior in a way that was easy to understand and replicate at home, which made a huge difference in our consistency and results.
What really stood out was how supportive and encouraging she was—not just with the dogs, but with us as owners. She never made anyone feel rushed or discouraged, and she always took the time to answer questions and give extra tips specific to our puppy’s behavior. Her positive reinforcement methods clearly work, and she explains the “why” behind everything, which helped us feel more confident continuing the training on our own.
By the end of the 6 weeks, our puppy was more attentive, better behaved, and much more responsive to commands. More importantly, we feel like better, more capable dog owners thanks to Valentina.
If you’re considering puppy training, we highly recommend working with her. She goes above and beyond, and it truly shows in the results.
