- PDPatrick William DunawaySep 28, 20261.0I often come in and find no one at the front desk but I came in Saturday and had a question about a dog food-the lady that waited on me seemed to not know much about the products-I asked if someone there would and she said probably not-I thought this is odd-so I went to get what I came for and when I came back to the register there was not one there-I waited then the original person came back but was having a what seemed to be a personal conversation another employee-I know they saw me standing there waiting and kept talking, I finally asked them if they could help me-I mean this is pathetic customer service, I notice they have a lot of turnover. I think I will find another Petco even if a longer drive.

Regarding the one star: While you have what we need, THIS particular story in Largo Florida smells so sharply of animal urine, that we avoid it at all costs. The only reason we held our nose and ran in quickly was because you had an item we desperately needed. Otherwise, we do NOT go to the store. Also, this is not a one off situation, it is always like this. PLEASE Deep clean your store. Others are not like this. 9-19-26: Decided to give it another try after reading your note that you are listening and pride yourself on cleanliness . Nope…still burns our nostrils as we walked in. Hoping this changes some day.

Finally a manager corrected the situation & rang me up w the in-store price. Imagine if I had been in a hurry or an elderly person and hadn’t noticed ???
