I brought my cat here because she was scratching her ear a lot and was prescribed antibiotics and other medication. About two weeks later, she suddenly stopped eating, drinking water, using the litter box, and tried to throw up twice. I called Banfield and explained everything. I was given an appointment for the next day, so I assumed it wasn’t an emergency. I later learned that a cat not eating for that long is very serious, and I wish I had been told to bring her in immediately or go to the ER. The day of her appointment, after her bloodwork, I got a call saying her ALT levels were extremely high and that she needed to go to the emergency vet right away. When we arrived to pick her up, the first thing we were asked was, “Who’s paying?” That was upsetting because we hadn’t even been given an update on how she was doing. After spending hours at the ER, the emergency vet asked us about the medications Banfield had prescribed. That’s when we realized we had never been given them, even though we had been charged for them. The ER staff tried calling Banfield around 15 times, but no one answered and the calls were being hung up on. We ended up having to drive back to Banfield to pick up the medication because it had been left in their refrigerator. The next day, we had to make the heartbreaking decision to put our cat to sleep because she was suffering, and there was no guarantee treatment would work. I’m sharing my experience because I was disappointed by the communication and the way my cat’s care was handled during such a difficult time.

Honestly annoyed at the lack of transparency I was given from this location. I originally had my kitten an appointment with the humane society to get spayed for $120. I brought her to Banfield for shots and an exam as their "first visit" is free as advertised online: which it wasn't, I was charged for the exam and the shots. They told me about this plan for $65 that would include her surgery and routine visits. I did not even sign any paperwork, yet somehow "verbally" agreed to it? When I realized, I tried cancelling and they say I'd have to pay for her visits and surgery which is about $600 more than it would have been to just stay with the humane society..or keep paying monthly for 12 months. Didn't even know it was a contract, wasn't told it was a year long, nothing. I feel scammed by that woman, she knew i had a surgery already scheduled for much cheaper. It's very obvious I'd be paying much more in the long run under this plan. My cat's annual exam is shy of $75. So why the heck am I paying $65 a MONTH?! Super shady of them.
