The ONLY thing I can not stand is when vets or other professionals try to pack in charges under the guise of medical advice. I’ve been treating my dog with meds for his ears and needed a refill. They want to do a test for $300 to prescribe and dispense. Can you suggest it’s medically necessary; sure. That a broad brush. Is an honest vet likely to understand, prescribe and dispense the drops so you can continue to manage your pets condition, also yes. I will never ever step foot in this place again and you shouldn’t either. The prior doctor was awesome. Told you the truth, understood the lifelong commitment you have emotionally and economically to your pet. Whoever I spoke to today, a grifter. Lost my business.

It was the end of the day, but when I called Sorana was so kind and helpful and told me they would fit me in. Both her and Dr Hemphill took great care of my baby even staying after closing time. Hospital hours and services vary at some locations. If your pet requires immediate care, please call ahead so we can ensure your pet’s needs can be met and advise you on next steps. If you’re a Banfield Optimum Wellness Plan® client, you can connect with a veterinarian anytime, day or night, via Vet Chat™ through the Banfield app for general pet care advice and triage support.

What preventive pet health care services does Banfield offer?
We believe that preventive care is the most effective way to keep your pet healthy throughout all stages of life. Our pet hospitals offer many preventive care treatments, including:

• Comprehensive Examinations
What is an Optimum Wellness Plan?
Optimum Wellness Plans are designed to provide annual preventive care. They include head-to-tail exams, vaccines, early screening diagnostics, consultations for proper nutrition, dental care and more! Since wellness plans are not insurance, they do not include treatment for unpredictable or abnormal conditions, however discounts would apply. Because pets need ongoing preventive care, wellness plans automatically renew at the end of each twelve month period (unless paid in full at enrollment).
How do I pay for an Optimum Wellness Plan?
You can spread the cost of your wellness plan across the 12 months of your annual agreement to make it easier to budget for the essential health care your pet needs. Your monthly payments can be automatically withdrawn from a checking or savings account or charged to a credit card so that you don’t have to worry about them once you enroll. We also offer the option of paying in full if you prefer.
