Just relocated to the area... went for the first time bcuz I had gotten my dog groomed next door at Petsmart... upon making the appointment, I received a text to receive the first visit free... upon arriving, there were several dogs loose that startled my pup...I was quite surprised at checkin when they asked for pymt up front b4 seeing the vet...I forgot about my coupon... wasn't happy with the lack of care from the vet... he didn't even introduce himself... didn't even act like a pet lover which I'm used to seeing from a vet...on my way home, I realized that I hadn't used the coupon...I called and asked if they could adjust my pymt... they replied that they would have to ask the mgr and would return my call...I waited all week to hear from them... called the following Monday and got the same response... girl calls me back and tells me that they can't do the adjustment bcuz a week had passed and accounting had been done...my dog needs surgery... why would I want to return to spend $500+ in a surgery? Who knows what other expenses they might want to add to the bill. Until I receive a credit, I will not return.
Thank you,
Sherrie

This office is not helpful made us come every month or so for a refill, never telling us we had other options that were less expensive and with less frequent visits. I have had plans for 15 years and I almost cancelled because of this location, I now go to Occee.

I took our Eleven week old kittens for their first visit hoping to utilize the first free visit voucher for 1 pets physical. I didn't know banfields reputation when I sought out the appt. A week ago.
After arriving it seemed very unorganized but some of the techs and the Vet were sweet. We left satisfied but had been charged the full amount of both pet's first visit.
Today, we returned for an emergency and brought one of our smaller babies in to get checked for a drop off appt (11:30). We assumed an hour or 2 would be enough but when we called they had all gone to lunch and hadnt returned to check our kitten till 3 hours had passed.
We brought her stool sample they had asked for from our first visit and they completely forgot it in her carrier! When we arrived to preemptively take her home with or without an exam they called us after we checked in with the desk (lack of communication). They condescendingly told us they sent the sample even though we were late on bringing it in...it had been 6 days since our first visit. Yet they hadn't actually sent it anywhere.
Needless to say we probated our voucher for this visit as to not pay for this so called "exam" and told our vet thank you for your care but we will be going elsewhere from here on out. She then shrugged rolled her eyes and said if thats what you would like...
Making nervous pet owners more enraged about a situation then actually remaining professional through out.

So I took my cat that has mega colon. They charge me $150 and another $345.00 for X rays. So to treat mega colon you have to sedate a cat and give them fluids thru an IV . Then you give an enema and then you sedate the cat so you can manually remove the feces . They charge me $736.00 in which I paid in cash . When I asked for the X-rays I had to go the next day to get them thru my email. So the doctor said they never sedated my cat. They gave him an enema then waited for him to poop. So I paid $735.00 and they did not treat him for mega colon but for mild constipation. My cat has not poop since going to Banfield. This place is a rip off! Warning stay away from this animal hospital!!

Worst Banfield experience I’ve had — and all of this happened just yesterday.
They rescheduled my dog’s spay appointment THREE times:
* The first time, it was booked on a day when no doctor was even available.
* The second time, we were told the doctor had an emergency and couldn’t perform the procedure.
* The third time — yesterday — we were informed that the doctor on duty doesn’t even perform spay surgeries.
This level of disorganization is unacceptable, especially for something as important as a surgical procedure.
On top of that, the “lead” or supervisor had a very poor attitude — dismissive and unprofessional, as if customer concerns didn’t matter.
The only bright spot at this location was Lili. She was kind, helpful, and professional throughout. She truly stands out and deserves recognition.
Thankfully, I contacted another location in Longwood, and the difference was night and day. They were attentive, efficient, and able to schedule my dog’s procedure for today. My poodle is currently in surgery, and I’m hopeful everything goes smoothly.
Based on my experience, I would strongly recommend considering other Banfield locations if you’re looking for reliable and professional care. (Longwood has way better reviews)

You can spread the cost of your wellness plan across the 12 months of your annual agreement to make it easier to budget for the essential health care your pet needs. Your monthly payments can be automatically withdrawn from a checking or savings account or charged to a credit card so that you don’t have to worry about them once you enroll. We also offer the option of paying in full if you prefer.
What kind of appointment do I have?
• In-room appointments: You and your pet visit the vet together. Please arrive a few minutes before your appointment time
• Drop-off appointments: If you have a drop-off appointment, we will communicate a time to drop off your pet. Keep your phone nearby and we’ll call you when your pet is ready for pickup.
