The vet & vet tech were knowledgeable; check-in was quick & easy; prices were good. However, I was unhappy that I was given an appointment time yet, when I arrived, it appeared that dogs were being seen on a first come - first served basis. The foster greyhound I brought in for vaccinations & a heartworm test is 11-1/2 years old, very underweight & frail. Her legs shake when she stands. Nevertheless, I had to wait in line with her for at least 30 minutes while two other dogs were seen first. Maybe the other two dog owners had appointments before mine but if that was the case, then the appointments should have been spread out more. If the other two owners didn't have appointments before mine, then they should have had to wait because I arrived before my 10:55am appointment time. I might not have been as upset if I had brought a younger dog, but to stand there while China's legs shook with no place except the hard concrete floor for her to lie down on, was difficult for me to watch. I've used vetco twice now and it's been very easy each time. I didn't even know they'd given my dog his shot, that's how efficient they were. It was quick and low stress for both me and my dogs. It's nice to have this as an option because in my area it's very hard to get vet appointments at times.

This was the 3rd time utilizing the clinic. The process is always easy, and wait times are minimal. However, this time I was very loudly reprimanded by the vet tech. While my cat was in getting her vaccine, I went to take a photo when the tech screamed from behind the glass for my phone to be put away. It not only shocked me, but the others in line by her outrageous behavior. She never even came out to explain her actions or show me a sign where it may have said “no photos.” I was so embarrassed and confused that I told the clerk at check out. He was also confused as to why she would act in such a way. The whole situation made me upset and angry. My cat was already frightened enough being in a loud place with other animals and strange people. Now, to make it worse, you’re yelling almost at the top of your lungs right next to her? Unprofessional, uncalled for, and unacceptable. I am unsure if I will be returning to this Petco location the next time around. Thank you.

I specifically said when I went in that I ONLY wanted the rabies vaccine. I was going to come back to do the heartworm which wasn't due until March, 2 months from now. Well after being talked into the 5 in 1 (which I didnt want or need for our pup) our dog was seen by the vet and I was told "ok we are doing the 5 in 1 rabies vaccine, and heartworm test". So I planned to spend $50 and ended up spending $240 and I did NOT plan to spend that much! VERY annoying that a simple visit turns into a freaking SALES opportunity 🙄 not everything should be sales driven. So I will be looking for a different place for our vaccines amd heart worm next year!
