The individual who works overnight for their on call / emergency service is so ill-suited for the job it stuns me. To scroll through and see so many comments suggesting the same, it boggles my mind that she is still employed. I was dealing with an emergency with my pet and she couldn't have been more dismissive. Basically, she was talking to me like I was an idiot, which seems like a bold and stupid choice for such a customer-facing role. Apparently New England Veterinary Center was far too busy to see me and my pet that night, so I'll at least give credit where credit is due: the only good thing she did was to recommend me to a vet in West Springfield, a vet who was actually kind and receptive to my inquiries, listened, and helped my pet. The actual vets at New England Veterinary Center may very well be excellent, but based solely on the experience of talking to their rep, I would never recommend a single person to this location. I'd say drive to West Springfield. Drive to Middletown. Go anywhere but here. To see so many people have the same comment, and yet this unpleasant person is still employed and making difficult situations worse with her attitude, speaks poorly of their management.

Told my dog’s condition was severe but still sent us 25 miles away—very concerning response during an emergency.

If I could give 10 Stars I would. This is the only place that could figure out what was wrong with my dog and give antibiotics and diarrhea medicine to her.Tthank you thank you thank you. They really care starting with the tech all the way through the Vet. I highly recommend great experience . The girls at the front desk are also very nice. I was in and out and the dog back on the mend. I am so happy.

Horrible !! I do NOT recommend. Now that I have a moment, I feel compelled to write about my experience, I called around 3am with a pet emergency, in the middle of explaining to the receptionist what was wrong, she rudely cut me off, and said, to see the vet will be $209 and anything further you would be charged accordingly, you can bring the pet if you want. I was so taken aback, I have never experienced such disgusting manners before from a receptionist at any care provider let alone a pet care provider. I immediately hung up and called another vet hospital, which was further away but they were 100 times more pleasant and warm and despite having to drive an extra 10 miles, I took my puppy there. I began to read reviews of this place and saw a lot of people mirror my experience. Something needs to be done, this is totally unacceptable, that receptionist needs intense training or should find another field as she does not represent the business positively at all.

Possibly some of the worse manners i have encountered in a long time. My wife called in advance to see if we could bring our dog in as he was having an emergency and they said sure. Only for us to drive a half hour to their office to be met with extremely rude nurse staff, who basically acted like we were stupid for bringing our dog in on such short notice. After explaining we were told to come they didn’t care and literally sent us away. Keep in mind this was in a massive storm so it was like 5 degrees outside. So incredibly rude, no sympathy, no apologies, just acted like we were the problem. Do not bring your pet here, they sure will take your money but don’t expect to be treated with respect. Bed side manner is important, it’ll do your practice some good to keep that in mind in the future.
