  I was pleased with the groomer’s approach towards my fur baby’s nervousness. It was Tokyo‘s first time at a groomer. She treated Tokyo with kindness and assured my dogs confidence to complete the grooming process.

  I brought my two dogs to get their nails cut and buffed at the Wallingford CT location. Nail trim and grinds to my understanding per the petco website are walk ins no appointment needed. We were greeted (with an attitude) I asked the two groomers there if we could get their nails done. I was told to wait 30 mins to walk around the store and I would be paged in. Due to another dog coming in that never showed. Previous times I’ve been told to come back 3 hours later. One of my dogs gets very anxious to the point where my father stays in there with her, so she calms down. The groomer Tina told me that we would try something different and she was going to have us step out so her and the other groomer there Andrea could do it together. I walked out with the papers they provided me to pay, one was for a nail trim for my dog and the other one was for another persons dog Benson’s bath. Good thing I caught it in time before paying. I walked back towards the grooming area to wait and one of the groomers Tina rudely waved us to walk away even though my dog couldn’t see me. They didn’t seem like they could control my dog even from afar. The groomer that usually cuts and buffs her nails unfortunately wasn’t there. Which she usually handles her very well by herself. Overall we just had one terrible experience that I would NEVER bring my dogs there again. I would NEVER recommend anyone to get their animals groomed there. The groomers should be ashamed of themselves for how rudely and unprofessionally they conducted them selves. Highly disappointed. I understand everyone’s job is hard, and people have stressful days, but to be rude and have an attitude with customers Is unacceptable. I work with the public as well and you have to know how to compose yourself professionally. I would’ve never treated someone like that. Especially always being very patient with them.

  Farah did a wonderful job with Matcha! He’s a husky and I felt so bad that he was being dramatic and screaming but she assured me he did well. He’s normally super bad about getting his nails trimmed but she did a fantastic job with them and made him look super handsome and ready for summer!

  Shop always dirty , full of dogs hair , fuzz flying around while staff is blow drying dog. EHAT HAPPENED TO VACUUMING BETWEEN THE ANIMALS? Addressed the staff at the grooming salon multiple times… same thing every time I bring my dog and the only reason I still coming back is the fact they are the only ones who can trim his nails .

  After years of searching for a groomer that consistently does an excellent job, we finally found her. Andrea at Wallingford Petco is super friendly and does an amazing job on both our pups! Also, if you are part of the discount program, you get a great price on top of it. Highly recommend.
