  I buy my cat food from Petco. They have a great selection of high quality food to choose from. Tiki cat, Nulo, and Applaws.

  Typically I always have a good experience in the wallingford store. However, on Saturday July 11th 2026 they were having a vet clinic in the store in two separate spots. The one in the center of the second to last row, near the refrigerated dog foods placed their large dog scale about 15 feet from their spot, at the end of the main aisle that runs front to back. It was directly on the left side as I rounded the corner. I tripped on it, hard. Almost fell forward onto my knees, but was able to catch myself. I jammed my right knee, and pulled my back in order to not fall. The tech and 3 customers waiting in that clinic line all saw it happen. Two people laughed. I said "you really should move thst scale!" The tech sneered and said "oh, yeah, okay" and she smirked. I managed to locate the Natural Balance dig food section, which was relocated and in the same aisle as the other vet clinic. The tech there told me I couldn't be there. I asked if he would hand me the larger bag of the salmon variety. He replied "not my jon" and continued to deal with the woman who was there with her little dog. So I went ahead and grabbed the bag that I needed without a word. When I got to the checkout the young gentleman with blonde wavy hair asked if I found everything okay. I explained everything that happened. He apologized and clearly felt bad that I was hurt, and visibly limping. I always donate $2 to your charity everytime I shop there. He thanked me, and asked if he could carry the bag of food to my vehicle. I declined, he had another customer in line. I understand the need for the vet clinics, but they really shouldn't be allowed to leave equipment in the aisles without caution cones, or something so customers don't get injured. They also shouldn't block aisles, or if they do, they should hand the customer the item they are obstructing.
