  Yesterday, my granddaughter and I stopped at the Torrington CT Petco to purchase sandpaper perch covers for her bird. We stopped to look at the sun conure bird. We noticed that the water in its bowl was very dirty. It had feathers and bird seed in the cloudy water. We know that birds can get an infection in their gullet from drinking dirty water. This is bird priced at $1200. I would think better care would be taken with it as a customer would not want to purchase a potentially sick bird. The store is very clean and organized otherwise. The sales associate at the register was also very nice.

  We had a horrible experience. For an override, the cashier and me had to wait 30 minutes because they could not find the Manager. He was in the back outside the store which I understand but for my inconvenience the Manager only said. “My Bad”, when I told him I waited 30 minutes for him. I buy all our pet food, treats, bones and toys from Petco and usually have a great experience.

  Everyone in the store is nice and helpful. This review is for the grooming salon. I had a really bad experience recently. One of The lady groomers at front desk was rude as soon as I entered. She yelled to me and my two kids across the room that only one family at the time could be on the entrance area. (There was another lady and a dog there). When I came back to drop off my dog, she proceeded to be rude through out all our interaction. First, by telling me there was a sign in the counter and not to place my dog on the counter. It’s the way she said it. Then a dog had pooped on the floor and she just said “you stepped on poop” when I said It was not my dog’s, she just said, “im just telling you”. I was nice enough to clean it anyways then she practically yelled at me to take the bag outside because it was gonna stink the whole place. At that point I lost it and I requested my dog back and left to never come back. Maybe it was just her having a really bad day but I haven’t experienced that rudeness from anyone in the service industry a while. Unacceptable!

  1 Star Extremely disappointed with the grooming service here. I booked a grooming appointment for a Golden Retriever puppy after being explicitly told beforehand that only a rabies vaccination was required. When we arrived, they completely flipped their story and refused the appointment, claiming a different medical condition prevented them from grooming the pup. Frustrating, misleading customer service, and a total waste of time. I won't be bringing my pet back.
