  It's a Petco. No mystery there. Everyone is always very friendly and they have pet food. Convenient location, plenty of parking, Easy Cheezy. 😹

  I came to this location and purchased a 20 gallon tank, accessories, and 6 fish. I was then told at the register, that if anything were to happen to the fish, I had 30 days to return it. I was also told to bring a sample of the water from my tank. After almost two weeks one of my fish dies and I came back with both fish and water in a sandwich bag. I went to the same young lady that originally gave me my fish and explained that I had the dead fish and water from my tank. She then said that I was supposed to have them both separated. This isn’t what I was told. She then said that because I didn’t have them separated, they would be unable to honor me the fish. That wasn’t what I was told or I would’ve done just that. She didn’t show any empathy or any type of professionalism. Just “that’s what it is”. She just kept repeating the same thing. I told her to keep the fish and throw it away it was so frustrating. The next day I go to the Westport Petco and explained my issue. They told me that I was correct in bringing the fish the way that I did and they would’ve honored it there, and that was not the policy. Then purchased more fish from them. I will NOT be returning to the Stratford location. They don’t appreciate my money.

  Used to use this location all the time. As of recent is has been lacking in GOOD customer service. Everyone always looks miserable when you go in. I asked for assistance in getting an animal to purchase, the employee informed me he was going to grab the key, and took 30 minutes to finally come help me. After he helped people get fish that walked in 15 minutes after i asked for help. Id rather take the extra time to go to milford and get helped in a timely manner, with a larger selection of prodycts, and staff that dont look miserable whenever you approach them.

  As a ferret owner I understand ferrets have a light musk and with the mix of hot weather too i understand a bit. But five flies in the ferret cage broke my heart. The flies were taunting them, buzzing everywhere near their food and litter. It sucked to see the upkeep of the Stratford Petco’s ferret cage. As the owner of two ferrets it didn’t sit right with me.
