The vet tech(?) receptionist(?) checking patients in at the Middletown, CT location on 6/20/26 was more interested in talking to the people around her than focusing on the job at hand. She called my dog by a different name. I worried she might have selected the wrong vaccine so I made sure to confirm it was correct with the vet when it was my turn. Very unprofessional. She could have put mine or someone else's pet in danger.

I have been going for the last three months to get all of my dogs renewal on vaccinations done one at a time. They are larger dogs, so it’s hard to handle more than one. The weight on this last visit I was there almost 2 hours. I needed to get my son from school so instead of figuring out the technical glitches that was happening on the program I got overcharged because I couldn’t sit there and debate anymore. I had to get my child. I am a single mother. I can’t just abandon him at school. The prices had changed, the packages had changed. The staff didn’t know what was going on. The vet was rude!!! He kept stabbing my dog in the leg over and over because he kept missing the van. I said out loud oh crap, sorry baby meaning the dog. He told me not talk. Really? You’re digging through my dog’s leg and making a huge mistake. She’s in visual pain and you don’t want me to comfort her or complain or be concerned in any way at all OK?? Sure Buddy. Never want to get treated by that doctor again

The Vet who gave Mandy her vaccinations was great and the staff at Middletown Petco are friendly and helpful. The problem I have is with your computer system. I noticed after Mandy's first visit that my address is an old one so I called Customer Service on 2/17/26 and spoke with Joe who said he would update my address. On that same day I went to Petco and asked they put in their computer Mandy's correct birthdate. After this recent visit, I went to your website to get Mandy's medical records - address is still incorrect and birthdate still incorrect. Not sure how to fix these problems.

Veterinary staff were very friendly and knowledgeable. I had brought both cats and dogs on separate occasions. Every time we were greeted by a different staff team, but they were all great! I would definitely recommend Vetco clinic (not hospital; I didn’t use) to anyone who needs a quick visit to get up to date. They gave my animals a quick check up and let me know of a few things that I should follow up with my pet’s Veterinary. They know their stuff and I trust them. They were very caring and gentle with each of my animals. :)
