- JBJoseph BelfioreMay 12, 20263.0My latest order consisted of 2 bags of Origen dry dog kibble that was placed online. While in the store I made several other purchases that consisted of all natural edible dog chews, a few toys etc. Origen had a coupon that was advertised on several of the shelves for 50% off frozen food. I searched the freezer section and was unable to locate the food. While cashing out I presented to coupon to the cashier. I explained I couldn’t find the frozen dog food. She then must have thought I was a dog myself. She attempted to point to the freezer section and wanted me to play fetch. Once again I explained I was unable to find the food in the freezers. She reluctantly asked an associate to go retrieve the food I was willing to purchase. The associate returns with the food and the annoyed cashier then states the coupon the store had on display, yes the one I handed to her was expired. She then said if I wanted it, you’ll have to pay full price. I nicely expressed if you’re not going to honor your in store coupon, I’ll pass on the food. The reality of this situation was I am a very good and longtime customer. The customer service was subpar even for a pet store. I will strongly consider Chewy on for my future purchases.
