I love the petco chain of stores. This store when you first walked in it was uncomfortably quiet ans not one employee anywhere. The front of the store was cluttered with discounted and sales. In combination with a horrible smell I unfortunately turned to my husband and said we cannot stay let's go to the one in Stratford or fairfield. The overwhelming smell of like urine from the small animals and their soiled bedding. The only positive I was able to walk away with was the grooming team. The two young ladies where grooming d9gs but still attempted to assist and communicate with us. When we were leaving I found out why we couldn't get a teammate/employee was because she was tucked away near the check out kinda hiding while on a very personal phone call. Sadly I do not see myself returning to this store unless it was for the grooming department. Sad because this store used to be amazing and very involved in us the clients who came in.

A friendly cashier stopped me from making a bad goldfish-related decision.

Very pleased with this location! We went to get fish, and Victor went above and beyond to explain to us how to care for the fish, how to keep the tank water clean, temperature, feeding... we walked out of there knowing how to care for the fish! Amazing!

Petco has the best selection of meal worms for our bearded lizard! Always fresh and active worms. Staff is always very nice and helpful.
