- SSStacy SchuchardJun 19, 20261.0Just wasted almost 100 dollars for a post op visit. My dog had a very serious emergency surgery and it was recommended we follow up with our normal vet for a post op. All they did was palpate his stomach for 5 seconds and asked if i had questions. Dont feel like that was worth the time or money or that my dog was actually seriously looked at.

I generally use the Banfield closer to my home, but because of my dog's condition, I had to make the most closest appointment to get her checked out as soon as possible, so this location was my only option. When coming here the first couple of times, my dog was given a lot of medication after she had surgery. My dog always seems to be traumatized every time we visit. She will stare at the exit door the entire time I am talking with the doctor or even the front desk. She'll start shaking her legs once we enter the entrance and doesn't look comfortable. But after we left, my dog wasn't moving or had trouble feeling energized after the first couple days she had her surgery. I thought it was because of the stuff they may have given her, but once she started to bleed from her anus randomly, something was wrong. So my doctor took her off of the medication our next visit, but she lacked understanding the condition my dog was in due to the fact she wasn't feeling okay and was bleeding everywhere when she would get up to move. Instead, she focused her attention on my dogs ears because they needed to be cleaned a little. I understood that, but thought it wasn't as crucial as my dogs other problems, especially because it was her idea to give her that medication afterall.

What is an Optimum Wellness Plan?
Optimum Wellness Plans are designed to provide annual preventive care. They include head-to-tail exams, vaccines, early screening diagnostics, consultations for proper nutrition, dental care and more! Since wellness plans are not insurance, they do not include treatment for unpredictable or abnormal conditions, however discounts would apply. Because pets need ongoing preventive care, wellness plans automatically renew at the end of each twelve month period (unless paid in full at enrollment).
How do I pay for an Optimum Wellness Plan?
You can spread the cost of your wellness plan across the 12 months of your annual agreement to make it easier to budget for the essential health care your pet needs. Your monthly payments can be automatically withdrawn from a checking or savings account or charged to a credit card so that you don’t have to worry about them once you enroll. We also offer the option of paying in full if you prefer.
