- ACArian CampbellSep 29, 20261.0I’ve been with Banfield for years. I’ve had my dogs’s teeth cleaned several times he’s undergone numerous different surgeries. He was spayed. He’s had his declaw that had to be cut a few times but on this particular time, they decided to give my dog so much sedation that for five days, my dog was disoriented he wouldn’t eat. The day after his teeth cleaning, they called me and I told him he wasn’t right. I told him he was still really jacked up and then it wasn’t OK. The guy on the phone said he’d have somebody call me and they didn’t call me till almost end of day where they left a voicemail saying that they realize that they had given my dog more sedation than normal, but he should be feeling fine already, but he wasn’t so I took him in the next day. They couldn’t really tell me what was wrong. They gave me some medication so that he would get an appetite and sent me on my way. I asked how much to cancel my plan they want over $1000 to cancel my plans for my dogs or get this I can continue to pay monthly until my contract is done so they want me to continue to go to their incompetent vets and trust them with my dog when it took five days for my dog to even eat and he still not better he’s still not 100% so now I have to take him to a Competent Vet pay out-of-pocket to continue my plan with Banfield and pay another vet a competent vet to find out what’s going on with my dog. DO NOT sign up with these people They could care less about your dog they couldn’t even tell me what was wrong with my dog. They just wanted to charge me more money for more medicine. Don’t bring your dog here.

What is an Optimum Wellness Plan?
Optimum Wellness Plans are designed to provide annual preventive care. They include head-to-tail exams, vaccines, early screening diagnostics, consultations for proper nutrition, dental care and more! Since wellness plans are not insurance, they do not include treatment for unpredictable or abnormal conditions, however discounts would apply. Because pets need ongoing preventive care, wellness plans automatically renew at the end of each twelve month period (unless paid in full at enrollment).
How do I pay for an Optimum Wellness Plan?
You can spread the cost of your wellness plan across the 12 months of your annual agreement to make it easier to budget for the essential health care your pet needs. Your monthly payments can be automatically withdrawn from a checking or savings account or charged to a credit card so that you don’t have to worry about them once you enroll. We also offer the option of paying in full if you prefer.

• In-room appointments: You and your pet visit the vet together. Please arrive a few minutes before your appointment time
• Drop-off appointments: If you have a drop-off appointment, we will communicate a time to drop off your pet. Keep your phone nearby and we’ll call you when your pet is ready for pickup.
• Optimum Wellness Plans® Virtual Visits: If you have an Optimum Wellness Plan and scheduled a Virtual Visit, you’ll save valuable time and get quality care from the comfort of your home.
