DO NOT BRING YOUR PET HERE FOR EMERGENCY EUTHENASIA. We called the clinic two hours in advanced around 10pm, and again an hour from arrival. The staff were aware that my cat was actively dying and said they would be ready for us. When we arrived, they told us to wait while they admitted an elderly dog who was... just limping? They made me wait in my car for a half an hour, during which time my best friend passed, in obvious and excruciating pain, in my arms. When we went in to report this, no one was there. I held her dead body in my arms for another HALF HOUR without anyone checking on us. When I came back in and yelled for someone to please take this body, PLEASE, no one answered. They did not respond until I banged on the staff door and demanded help. They then had the gall to take my cat's body to 'check for life signs' then reported two minutes later that she had passed. No shit. She had passed MORE THAN 45 MINUTES AGO at this point. If your pet needs immediate attention at end of life, please do not go here.

Generally not a good thing when emergency pet clinics are involved and that was true for me. But they were incredibly kind and took care of my little guy and were so supportive as I had to let my little guy go. Thank you so much!

These people have been very kind, compassionate, reliable and affordable. I took two elderly sick hens here for euthanasia (different years). Each time they made the process quick, calm and were compassionate. Its very difficult making the decision to euthanize a beloved pet, and when you do you want to know that they are cared for and treated well during the transition. It is also important that you be treated well during the transition. Im glad to have this vet so close to my home and availible for emergencies late into the evening. Thank you for taking care of Myrtle, Gloria and myself.

Do not bring your animal here. This was by far the worst experience I have ever had bringing a pet to a vet/hospital. I had to bring my dog here on a weekend when his regular vet was closed and the other ER I have taken my animals to was too busy and told me I would likely have to wait to be seen. He appeared to be in serious respiratory distress and discomfort that was progressively getting worse so I couldn't wait. I wish I had just taken him to the ER I knew I liked because what transpired has left me feeling guilty and unsure of my decison. Once we were in a room, the tech arrived and was extremely rude to me immediately. She started asking me questions about what brought me in and while I was telling her she would interrupt me. Then she would ask me the same question that I just answered with the same information I just told her. She was extremely crass the entire time and had 0 compassion towards me or my dog who again was struggling to breath. He had been diagnosed with lung cancer a year prior at this point and as soon as I said that she told me she needed to take him to the back to have the doctor look at him. I had his leash and the tech didn't want to take it because she said it was too bulky. She grabbed one of those thin leashes that ropes around the neck and put it over his head. I removed his collar and leash and she immediately started pulling on him, HARD, despite his visible distress and difficulties breathing. I was floored and shocked, as I've never seen a tech so crassly handle an animal before. Then she yelled at me to stand up and follow her out the door so he would go with her. I got up to do so and make sure he was comfortable as we walked. The leash was still taut from her trying to rush him back and he's moving slow. She went through the doors with him and they closed in front of me without her saying anything. I was floored and upset and just stood there for a moment processing what just happened and questioning if I should take him back and leave. I returned to the room we were in and waited for 15 minutes with no one coming in to tell me what was happening. Finally the vet came in. She was awful! She too had no compassion, no empathy, and immediately leads with "he's really struggling to breath" and just left it at that for what felt like forever. I staired at her waiting for her to say anything else and she didn't. I don't know what she wanted to me say so all I said was I was aware of that. She then says that given his diagnosis and symptoms, their struggle to hear his heart, and what she says she saw on the ultrasound (heart pumping poorly), that euthanasia was the best option for him. Again, no compassion, no empathy, no sympathy in any of the words she said. I was already upset but this threw me into the next level. She didnt give me any other options other than putting him down. Ultimately this is what I did, but not through them. They pushed for him to be euthanized there but I couldn't do it. I took him home where he passed with his family by his side in his bed. I am giving 1 star because I don't have confidence the vet looked further at helping him after hearing he had cancer. She run any other tests, take swabs of anything, ask me any other questions about illness/injury/etc. I had to be the one to ask about pneumonia, or infection, or anything else and she said we could take xrays. I thought vets needed to look for all possible issues and not give up on an animal. The only peace I am able to make with my decison is my parents saw how bad my dog was and the euthanasia vet (who was extremely kind) said it was the most compassionate thing I could do for him. There is still something in me saying it shouldn't have happened this way, that there was something else I could have done. I hate I didn't take him somewhere else for a second opinion. Don't take your loved pet here. I know questioning the decision is part of grieving, but this hospital did NOTHING to make this difficulty situation and choice feel less painful. I regret bringing him here so much.

I recently brought Sybil, my granddaughter's cat, to the emergency pet clinic in Longmont after discovering several chewed up lilly leaves and bits that she spat out. We had no way of knowing and still don't know how much she consumed. It's not just lily flowers that are so deadly, it is also the leaves. And time is of the essence when it comes to lilly exposure. The emergency pet clinic took immediate action and great care with Sybil over a two-night hospital stay. They explained the treatment plan thoroughly and called and texted with updates along the way. I am so grateful to them for saving little Sybil. Especially since I'm the one that put the lilies in her reach. I want to add that their protocol as well as their prognosis aligned perfectly with what I found on various internet searches. That was very reassuring.
