I come here regularly for a trim and bath. These humans are awesome! They get the places I can't reach myself. Best of all...they always reassure me that I'm a good boy! 🐶

I recently took my dog to Scruffy’s Salon for a grooming appointment that cost $60, plus an additional $25 for the de-shedding shampoo treatment.
One of the main reasons for the visit was to have her nails trimmed, as this service is included in the grooming package and her nails had become quite long. When I picked her up, I was told that they were unable to trim her nails because she was “gatoring” and making it difficult to complete the service. I was advised to take her to a veterinarian instead.
While I appreciate that safety comes first and some dogs can be challenging during nail trims, it was disappointing to pay for a grooming service that included nail trimming and leave with her nails untouched. This was especially frustrating because her nails were one of the primary reasons for scheduling the appointment.
Adding to my concern, during a previous visit to this salon, Autumn’s nails were trimmed too short and two of them bled afterward.
The grooming itself was satisfactory, and the staff were polite, but based on my experiences, I am not confident in their ability to handle my dog’s nail care. Given that her nails were one of the main reasons for the appointment, I expected more than a recommendation to take her elsewhere.

Jamie does great on my Golden doodle. I've been taking her for two years and I continue to recommend Scruffys Salon. Jamie is excellent!

This was our second time having our Australian Shepherd groomed here. The staff is so kind, helpful and professional. Communication is wonderful. They did a great job grooming him and we will definitely use them again!

UPDATE: I will add that I was very pleasantly surprised to find our payment refunded in my bank account this week. That was unexpected. Thank you to the Scruffy's owner for that. I appreciate it.
If I could give zero stars, I would, and I rarely leave negative reviews for anyone. My dog has high anxiety and for some reason when my son took her there this time she really didn't want to be there and was very upset and nipping/biting. I understand this is difficult for the groomers. But instead of reaching out to let us know what was happening, they tried to persist. My dog ended up with a cut on her face from the clippers, a shave that was way too close, and one leg that wasn't done at all. They didn't bathe her, do her nails or teeth (understandably) but still charged us full price. I know my dog can be difficult (she is 16 an deaf), but our previous groomer across town before we moved was always able to keep her calm, get the job done, and have her looking pretty. When I called to talk to Scruffy's and address even the rude way they had spoken to my son ("Not to be rude, but....." -- When someone says that, you know they are about to be rude), when I challenged her defense of how they treated my dog, she started yelling at me about how difficult my dog is and how she comes in matted, and then yelled that she was firing me as a client and hung up on me. Yes, my dog does get a bit matted. But it has never been an issue with her previous groomer, and they never shaved her so close to her skin. I'm sorry, but as traumatized as the dog was when she got home, and as horrible as she looks, I don't think all the fault is with the dog and with me. At the least, they should have only charged us for what they actually accomplished. I will be going back across town to our old groomer (A Clip Above in Highlands Ranch) so that my pup gets to be with people who truly care about her and are kind to both dogs and people.
