- AAAlin ArgaezAug 4, 20261.0Terrible experience. Came in thinking there was a free exam. Definitely was not unless you show an email regarding the free exam. Even after you show the ad they offer online. You can’t cancel whatever plan they buy you into in office, then want to charge you for $500+ if you don’t move forward with the plan. Came in for something specific that was going on with my dog and couldn’t give me a definitive answer, even after the tests they did. Turns out my dog had to have an emergency surgery 2 weeks later with another company. Make sure you ask as many questions you have about the plans!

I have experienced some of the other Banfield locatiins in the area, and I make the extra drive to this location because of the quality service.

- THTom HigginsJun 26, 20261.0My daughter is traveling in Europe and we are watching her dog. Her dog's primary Banfield Pet Hospital is in the city she lives. This location refused to provide the heart medication she needs and would not fill here (even though there are refills available). But they did say I could get ahold of the other Banfield Pet Hospital and they could transfer to a human prescription location, but they would not do it unless I paid them for a pet evaluation visit. Absolutely terrible customer service. Just be careful using them. Obiously their business model is about maximizing visits and charging for unnecesarry things, not about the animal and what's best for them. Terrible customer service, only about making $$

What is an Optimum Wellness Plan?
Optimum Wellness Plans are designed to provide annual preventive care. They include head-to-tail exams, vaccines, early screening diagnostics, consultations for proper nutrition, dental care and more! Since wellness plans are not insurance, they do not include treatment for unpredictable or abnormal conditions, however discounts would apply. Because pets need ongoing preventive care, wellness plans automatically renew at the end of each twelve month period (unless paid in full at enrollment).
How do I pay for an Optimum Wellness Plan?
You can spread the cost of your wellness plan across the 12 months of your annual agreement to make it easier to budget for the essential health care your pet needs. Your monthly payments can be automatically withdrawn from a checking or savings account or charged to a credit card so that you don’t have to worry about them once you enroll. We also offer the option of paying in full if you prefer.
What kind of appointment do I have?
• In-room appointments: You and your pet visit the vet together. Please arrive a few minutes before your appointment time
• Drop-off appointments: If you have a drop-off appointment, we will communicate a time to drop off your pet. Keep your phone nearby and we’ll call you when your pet is ready for pickup.
• Optimum Wellness Plans® Virtual Visits: If you have an Optimum Wellness Plan and scheduled a Virtual Visit, you’ll save valuable time and get quality care from the comfort of your home.

No, Banfield Pet Hospital does not provide emergency care services. However, during hospital hours you can call for urgent care advice and referrals to emergency hospitals if needed.
