    This Petco doesn’t put signage about adoption policy. The cats are $225. However, they require you to buy two cats at once if they’re kittens. That’s $450. So you can look at them all you want but you’re getting bated into playing $225, and then they won’t sell them to you. It would be one thing if they had signage that told you their policy on Kittens. It’s quite another when they say they’re $225 and then when you go to ask, it turns into $450. That’s insane and it’s rude and it’s not OK. Policies need to be clear. Absolutely ridiculous. I’m not even mad about the cats. If that’s how it needs to be that’s how it needs to be. I’m mad about the bait and switch of the price! I adopted my kitten who was eight weeks old. She was amazing she still is. She’s 16 years old now. If we got two kittens as we had a roommate in the past who had two kittens they team up on the old cat and that can be dangerous. Absolutely be very aware that this is a shady place to adopt cats from.

    So I go in to buy buy 10 tetras for my fish tank. The girl starts harassing me about how many gallons my fish tank is. Says I'm only allowed to buy six fine. That's good but then she grabs a carrier to put the fish in. Doesn't rinse it out. Obviously used in a saltwater tank. Salt water debris was in my fish bag. I should have said no. I don't want these but I took them home thinking that after I acclimated the fish did I could get the salt out of the bag not possible. All the tetras died because of this and all my other fish died. Because of this, my helpful hint is sanitized or have one for freshwater and one for salt she knew is in. The bag told me not to even look how she caught the fish. Ridiculous. I don't know. I suggest not shopping at Cross contamination

    Holly is the absolute best Petco Manager. She is very informative, polite & patient person to explain to our daughter the best way to be a wonderful pet owner. Holly should be running every Petco!!!

    I was in this store today to buy two feeder fish. For $0.50 each and the girl that was running the fish department would not sell me the fish because I could not remember how big my tank was. These are feeder fish. There were dead fish in the tank already. I guarantee you the tank they keep their fish in does not have 20 gallon per goldfish. I asked the girl, are you seriously not going to sell me the fish because I can't remember how big my tank is? She said no I am not. She also said It is petco policy not sell goldfish to anybody whose tank is smaller than 20 gallons. My tank is bigger than 20 gallons. And I only wanted two feeder fish for $0.50 a piece. This girl was very rude. I put down the stuff that I was going to buy and I walked out of the store and I went straight to PetSmart. Bought my two feeder fish and everything else I was going to buy, from your competitor. Maybe some customer service training. I shop at your store all the time I will not be back!!

    My daughter purchased a Roboroski Dwarf Hamster on the 13th and since they have a 30 day return policy they said she could return him in case she changed her mind to exchange for another hamster. She took him back today and the general manager was extremely rude to her with their interaction. My daughter had told the GM that she didn't realize how high maintenance and how high energy they were and that they don't really like being held, the GM told my daughter that all hamsters are like that and that if she couldn't handle it maybe she shouldn't get another hamster. She also proceeded to tell her after they had made the return that since she was not willing to take care of that one they would not sell her another one, she was very rude and unprofessional about it and my daughter was in tears at the end after she left. It's not that she was unwilling to take care of the hamster it's just that she didn't realize they were so hyper. She just wanted something she could sit and play with.
