This is a very friendly clinic! They made my dog and I so comfortable in what was a very scary situation. Prices were so very reasonable I am still talking to everyone about that! Just a really good place!

DO NOT TAKE YOUR ANIMAL HERE AT ALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Absolutely the worst visit I have ever had. If I could put a -1 star review I absolutely would. Unfortunately, our experience today was extremely frustrating and disappointing. We came in because we wanted our dog’s eye looked at. We were expecting the $25 first-time exam advertised online, but were instead told the exam would be $90. We were then given a nearly $200 estimate for an appointment that lasted less than 10 minutes and included several additional services and testing we were not expecting. When I brought up the $25 price advertised online, I was told that additional testing, including checking for ulcers, was needed, along with other things added to the estimate. We were also told that our dog’s rabies vaccine was required in order for him to be seen. This was especially confusing because this was a completely different dog and owner from a previous visit, and we had never been told during that visit that vaccinations were a requirement. The situation became uncomfortable when the staff went into the back to discuss the situation before the manager came out to speak with me. The manager was actually very reasonable and told me that they could honor the $25 first-time visit price and that the rabies vaccine was recommended, not required. I appreciated her clarification and was prepared to move forward. However, the doctor then came back into the room and told me that the rabies vaccine was required and that she would not help us if our dog did not receive it, directly contradicting what her manager had just told me. At that point, I became frustrated and the doctor and I had a disagreement about the conflicting information. I understand that conversations can become tense, and I could have handled my frustration better, but instead of trying to resolve the situation, the doctor told us that they would no longer see us and essentially asked us to leave. We were not given the opportunity to have our dog’s eye examined at all. I completely understand that veterinarians have protocols and may recommend certain testing or vaccinations for good reason. My concern is the lack of consistency, transparency, and communication, especially regarding pricing and what is actually required for a pet to receive care. The manager was reasonable and professional when she spoke with me, but unfortunately the conflicting information from the doctor and the way the situation ultimately ended left us feeling very uncomfortable and disappointed. We came in simply wanting our dog’s eye checked and left without receiving care, feeling like we were being dismissed rather than helped. I hope the clinic can work on better communication between staff and management so other pet owners don’t experience the same confusion and frustration. Makes sense why they only have a 3 star review.

Downtown Animal Care Center exceeded my expectations. I had an appointment yesterday; they were punctual, super nice to my Cat, and very attentive—not to mention the costs were very affordable. This comes after a very bad experience at another vet three weeks ago. Thank you for being so attentive.

My experience with this veterinary clinic has been very disappointing. In the beginning, the service was excellent, but over time the quality of care and communication declined significantly. The emergency line is unreliable, as no one answers the calls or returns messages in a timely manner. During one of my interactions, the staff member I spoke with was rude and unprofessional, which only added to my frustration during an already stressful situation. As pet owners, we trust veterinary clinics to be available when our animals need care, especially during emergencies. Unfortunately, my experience made me feel like customer service and concern for pets were not a priority. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this clinic. I hope they take steps to improve their communication, professionalism, and the level of care they provide to both pets and their owners.
