  Long overdue review. We found this location from online recommendations, specifically ones mentioning nervous dogs or dogs needing socializing. Our dog, Morticia, always showed signs of nervousness/fearfulness and would get a bit too excited around new dogs, but is very sweet with us. We boarded her with Cottonwood for 2 weeks after bringing Morticia weekly for daycare 10 weeks before our trip -- we wanted to make sure staff and Morticia were comfortable and confident. Cottonwood Kennels made our weekly drive from Denver worth it. Their boarding price is determined by length of stay. Meals and enrichment aren't additional like some places in Denver are. They provide food and bowls and you're welcome to bring your own (give them a call and double check though). They offer punch cards for daycare and post pictures frequently on their Instagram. They are on a farm which also has agility obstacles. Morticia gradually warmed up to the staff each weekly visit, she even started to get excited. It's been a couple months since we picked her up, and the dog we have now is much more confident and considerate of new people and dogs. We were never confident to take her to dog parks or open spaces, but now we are. I don't want to advertise them as a training facility, but if you need people that understand dog behavior, that will supervise your dog child and treat them well, bring them here. Thank you to Shannon and Paige for boosting our confidence with our sweet Morticia, and to the rest of the staff that helped better her trust with new people.

  Our dog who has been going to daycare once a week for 6 months at a different facility went for a trial day and they called within 2 hrs to come get him due to him "being overstimluated" and overheated. He is a Berner and naturally pants and has a lot of energy as he is a puppy. By the time he got home he was calm and his normal self. Just find it concerning that he has been to other daycare facilities, dog parks and done great! Will not be taking him back

  Our puppy, Marvin, absolutely loves spending the day at Cottonwood Kennels. He gets so excited every time we pull in the drive and he never wants to leave. Sometimes they post photos on their Facebook and Instagram and it’s easy to see why he loves it so much. They always look like they’re having so much fun! The staff is super friendly. Booking a spot online is easy and they get back to you quickly. We usually book a day or two in advance and haven’t had any issues getting a spot. We haven’t needed to board Marvin yet. But if we ever do, we won’t hesitate to have him board at Cottonwood. You can tell that not only are they adequately staffed but that everyone one there cares about the safety and happiness of the animals they’re taking care of.

  This is a great kennel for day care and for overnight boarding. We like that the dogs have a nice outdoor play area and small dogs are separated from large ones. Whenever we drop our pup off, he's excited to go run around with the other dogs. They also take great care of him when we board him. overnight.

  I cannot say enough wonderful things about Cottonwood and their incredible team! If you’re looking for professional, reliable pet boarding with a staff that truly cares, this is the place. When unforeseen travel circumstances came up recently and she needed to stay a few extra days, the staff was unbelievably gracious, flexible, and understanding. Their compassionate care and excellent communication made a stressful situation so much easier. It’s clear they prioritize the well-being, comfort, and happiness of every pet in their care.
