  If you are going to Petco at southlands to buy a fish, think again! We just wanted to buy a fish for our son who has been begging for one. The young blond haired employee outright refused to sale us a single goldfish after interrogating us on the fish tank we planned to use. And then when deciding to buy a betta fish like she recommended, she then proceeded to tell us we need a 5 gallon tank for a SINGLE fish. After telling her we just wanted to get a betta fish, she said before we bought it, she wanted proof of the fish tank we are getting from another store or evidence that we were ordering the right sized tank online. I understand being informational, but belittling customers is another thing entirely. I kept a betta fish for close to 5 years and it thrived under our care. We walked out and away from that awful experience.

  Worst experience ever went to buy 3 fish for my kids and they wouldn’t sell it to me saying I need to buy a whole tank like excuse me but I didn’t ask for there opinion I only came to buy a fish and you getting involved to much I only wanted to keep it for 2 days and then use it for bite like he said the fish where for bait so what’s his problem honestly disappointed

  Absolutely amazing employees. Very helpful and insightful. Bring a new puppy parent I was very happy and impressed with the amount of help that I received. I truly appreciate knowing about the puppy training program, rewards and resources available. My new place to go for everything my pup needs.

  Worst customer service I’ve ever received. Lady was on her phone at the register and I asked where the dewormer was. Her response was “I don’t know” so while I searched around for 20 minutes with no avail she didn’t look or help. Then when I found it it was locked in a case 3 feet from here. Asked to get one and she just said “I don’t have the key” are you slow, stupid, or dumb? Because what kind of interaction was that?
